Mid-Atlanteans in December

I'll be there. Need to check with Mrs. BPSCG to see if she can make it. What they've been putting her through at work, I'm guessing she'll be ready for a beer or two or six by Sunday afternoon.

Absolutely. Anyone who can survive lunch sitting across from yours truly is a find.

So, 4 PM, 12/16 at RFD Washington (See link in Wunky's post above).

Roll call, please -

Bluess, who doesn't drink beer and sincerely hopes they have some decent wine so she doesn't whine, HERE!

Good news! I can shoe-horn you guys into my day planner on said date and time....please have your people confirm itineraries with my people.

PS: My people have decided to buy Beeps a beer....not sure why...but I think its in hopes that he does his "Elaine Bennes" dance!?

I have discovered a young librarian in another department who was raised a skeptic! I have invited her along, but she's not sure she'll be able to make it. Maybe her husband will come as well. I hope y'all don't mind, but I just can't resist seducing someone over to the dark side enlarging our group.

More! We must have more sacrifices to the gods of skepticism...

Of course, if there were gods of skepticism they probably wouldn't accept sacrifices. They'd all be too busy arguing about the benefits thereof, and somebody would want appropriately formulated studies with repeatable results.

Erm....

Beer, anybody?

Heh - that's the way I dance before beer. After that, I get clumsy and spastic. Visualize a drunken pig on ice skates, blindfolded.

We didn't have to, you brought your partner last time. We did find it offensive that you kept calling her your sister Adele. You, sir, are no Fred Astair.

Fred Astaire? Hell, I'm no Fred Flintstone on the dance floor. On good days, I dance like Stephen Hawking having a bad day.

I ski pretty good, though...

OK, attendee list so far:

Rikzilla, who will clear the way to our table with his radioactive dinosaur powers
LibraryLady, who will gain good service by threatening all with the budgie of doom, and bring along a new victim, er friend.
IllegalArgument and Prabha, who will threaten BPSCG with dancing lessons
BPSCG, whose limbs we will bungie cord. May we expect Mrs.BPSCG?
Wunky, who will ride her motorcycle up to the beer.

No Crackers, damn. Who else? Did I miss anyone? At least 8, then?

I'll know about the sacrificial new person next week. So really it's a definite seven.

I'm glad to be a designated driver for anyone who needs it.

Sorry, no; major ski club committee meeting that evening. Hm, that's what she said when she was out most of the day when y'all came over for Party With Hutch day at my house last spring. It's true, though.

Does this place require reservations? Would it be a good idea to make them even if they aren't required? Wunky, you seem to know it better than the rest of us - your thoughts?

Careful what you offer - you could end up driving half a dozen people all over northern Virginia and DC before getting home to Bawlmer.

I'll probably be taking metro.

I will be there also.

And, since it seems important to some people, I'll allow anyone and everyone to buy me a beer. That will be my good deed for the year.

Well...if this place had any beer I'd come :)

Actually...while I WILL attend one of these, so you all can meet one of the famous Simpson 15 (lol), seems unlikely it will be this one.

Hey! I'm one of the Simpson 15 as well!

*walks off muttering about people stealing her thunder*

I will be there also. May be a bit late- have an event with my nieces. Probably means that I will drive, Beeps we can give you a ride home- since it is on our way.

Er....umm.....hey, look over there! (as Locknar point to the left, and quickly runs in the other direction).

You are of course quite correct, if you did the math you'd find:

One [ET Corn God math] = another one
(lol) [ET Corn God math] = (includes Locknar & LibraryLady)

So what I really wrote was:

*Sorry about that Chief

Thanks - now I won't have to buy a round-trip metro ticket... :)
