I won't hold my breath thinking this is true...but if it is, it certainly deflates the "Gentle Giant" meme. I'm not much of a boxing aficionado, but wouldn't it take a lot of force to cause this type of injury?

Oh, and the comments of that link reflect the worst humanity has to offer.

Maybe Wilson was punch drunk for a little time after the struggle at the vehicle?

Also he could've tried to close the door while Wilson was trying to get out & caught his head between the door & the car.

I have to wonder - why is it that only the people who are pushing for rights for black people get titles like "racial grievence hustlers"? It seems obvious to me that folks like, say, Rush Limbaugh or Bill O'Reilly are far more obvious targets for that label, but somehow they seems to avoid it...

ETA: Or how about, say, Donald Trump? You know, the guy who became the republican frontrunner by basically throwing out every obviously racist charge against Barack Obama? How is he not labeled "racial grievance hustler"? I wonder...

Well, okay, I don't *really* wonder at all, I'm just saying.

One direct punch to the eye, landing flush. Doesn't take a big person to do it either, small people can have great punching power.

I'm very curious to see if this report is correct.

If the report is true, that seems like the next line of defense: the cop did something to "make" the deceased attack him.
 
Well, we really don't know if the report of the injury is true.

However, I do recall early mention that the officer was injured and had some swelling.

Still, I wish that report was not just hanging out there...

That was about a week ago. Perhaps the swelling and pain did not go away, and a scan was ordered?

This could be true...I'd really like to see some evidence (including the report of Wilson's injuries) to get a better picture of what really happened.

I think Johnson's eyewitness testimony is questionable, especially with the revelation that the gunshot wounds weren't in Brown's back.

I want to find out if Brown's fists or the vehicle door were responsible for Wilson's injuries...if the report is correct.

He will be charged out of fear of what will happen he does not.
Which will inflame some people on the right,and probably "convert" a few people from borderline to out and out bigots.
And the viscous cycle continues.
ANd no end in site.

After checking out the source for the Wilson injury story, I am going to wait until it gets confirmed by other sources. The website that "broke" this story is pretty damn questionable IMHO...seems pretty far to the right.
