Megan McCain "Am I Not Worthy Of Being A Member of Republican Party?" -In A Word, NO!

The GOP will go nowhere until the centrists in the party take control. It will take another couple of election disasters for that to happen.
That Rush Limbaugh can humilate the chairman of the GOP and get away with it is a good sign the party has learned nothing.

Dudalb, Rush Limbaugh should be LOSING his audience, if actual influence were any indication. But people listen to him, not because they agree with him, or because they think he has anything to offer, but for the same reason we watch train wrecks.

Oh,I agree, but still it is apparent that Rush Limbaugh is more about promoting himself and getting ratings then about helping the GOP to win elections. What amazes me is that so few in the GOP leadership get that they are being had.

I couldn't care less if the GOP finally crashes and burns. However, as much as I don't care for the two-party system, I like the idea of a one-party system even less.

The GOP has a noose tied around it's neck by the extremism of the Religious Right that's dragging it down. If it is going to survive another generation, it has to cut that connection and get more moderate on faux-family values like being anti-gay marriage.

Actually that's one of their few winning issues these days. It's not my hot button, but the idea that's dragging them down is silly. The stem cell thing yes, gay marriage no.

Young Miss McCain said:
“What kind of message are we sending young women? … It infuriates me. I’m a political writer on a blog, and all of a sudden I’m too fat to write?”

She added, “I couldn’t possibly imagine how any woman could criticize another woman’s weight. I work out at the gym and try and eat healthy, but I’m still a size 8.”
From the photo evidence, she has her mom's foundational basic beauty tempered by her dad's blocky genetic predilections. A buxom and winsome lass, with a bit of brain to go along. Nice prospects for any bachelor.

That's a bit snarky, however. I think it is based on cup size, and seems catty to me.

Assessment: this fair maiden would bear you many strong sons, and daughters. Since she's a (self professed) work out maven, outstanding spousal potential, not to mention her mom is freakin' rich.

All you young'ns, of any partisan affliction, ought to start taking numbers to court her. There is no downside here.

Oh, Good God. She's a size EIGHT?!?

Ann Coulter is on her case because she's a size EIGHT? Is she SERIOUS?

Do you realize how many women would be thrilled to be a size eight?

Coulter proves, once more, that Conservatism is only skin deep.

One might even suggest that modern "conservativism" puts form before function.

Today, yes. Look at opinion polls on the issue broken down by age. The younger the demographic, the more that favor allowing gay marriage. It will eventually work against the GOP.

Oh baby...

Your change in political affiliations is working. A.C. hasn't said word one to Meghan, or about Meghan. Your own bias against A.C. is working over-time.

Oh, right. Standard Cicero MO, hunt and peck for alleged hypocrisy.

Save it, I'm not buying it.

Alleged? You just confirmed it.

Fact: Ingraham's statements were disgusting, crude, and sexist. Either defend them or acknowledge as much. Don't try to deflect or derail.

Maybe sexist, but crude and disgusting? Your sensitivity meter needs to be recalibrated.

Riiiiight. Nobody could actually really be interested in reforming the Party. Certainly not the daughter of its recently failed presidential candidate. Her only possible motivation is wanting attention.

I think she would be better served working to reform the Democratic Party from the inside. She is already one of their darlings.

Unlike Ingraham, whose motives are as pure as the driven snow, I'm sure.

Who said anything of the sort?

She went on Maddow's show. Big deal. That's not a justification for the crap that's been thrown at her, not by a long shot.

The fact is, the Republican Party is shooting itself in the foot with these juvenile antics. They're completely unjustifiable, and your attempts to justify them are nothing short of pathetic.

What crap? The "plus-sized models" remark? I think Meghan knows crap when she sees it hurled. Or did she miss the excrement hurled at her pop's running mate?

Cicero, after you figure out how to use quote tags, please rest assured that I already recognize you have nothing substantial to say.

Decorum, or lack thereof, is personal, not political.

That's not what's being reported.

And, you're right. Even as conservative as I am, I find Coulter to be offensive, crude, crass, and really, after trying to work my way through her books, not worth the time.

McCain's daughter, 24, a registered Republican since last Father's Day, believes the Republicans need to be more moderate in order to regain power. Did this bugwit miss the last Presidential election where her father, the most moderate Republican in the Party, lost?...
McCain was a little more moderate on some things before he decided to kiss the base's ass to get elected. Then he seemed pretty hypocritical. But McCain's stand on the Iraq was was never moderate. And when he condoned torture, that was disgusting and clearly not a moderate position.
