I have read several articles about the firing, and while Comey wasn't the most popular Director the rank and file still bitterly resent what is (rightly) seen as a blatant act of interference in an active investigation.

A lot of people are saying (the ultimate source in Trump World is "people are saying" so you can't dispute it, neener neener neener) that he actually hasn't got the guts to fire someone in person. That's a Mark Burnett fiction, just like Trump the Entrepreneur, and Trump the Astute Business Man. Before the image makers (turd polishers) came along he was just any other Page Six attention whore.

You just don't get it, do you? They were pissed about some of the decisions Comey made, but they're more pissed about Trump (an outsider and current suspect) blatantly interfering with their work and obstructing justice.

Know them? No. Follow their Twitter feeds? Yes. I'd also point out that "months ago", the Usurper hadn't interfered with their duties by firing their Director for blatantly improper reasons.

Think of how much more fun we're having watching him and his enablers squirm and flop around like a bass out of water. My friend Paul used to say that if he could vote, he'd always vote for the comedy value. He would've solidly supported Trump.

Now that he's proved himself completely incompetent to get anything done, we're torn wanting to watch him continue his Pagliacci routine for 3.78 more years, or the command performance of an impeachment. Decisions, decisions. (I'm in the former team. By his third year he'll be sending out invitations to the Duck Dynasty Guys who will respond with "Oh, gee. I wish I could come over but Thursday's the night I have to wax the backyard.")

Unfortunately our environment, our poor/elderly/sick/handicappted, financial system, etc probably can't afford 18 months, let alone 3.78 years
 
I'm going to guess McCabe's sacking won't come until after the loyalty oath dinner, though it may have already occurred.

I wish I was that sanguine but while he continues to provide a distraction, the GOP continues on its mission to make rich people even richer, poor people even poorer, sick people even sicker and people who are discriminated against, discriminated against more.

He may or may not be getting things done (opinions differ, logger for example is certainly impressed and The Big Dog, who was previously such a Bernie supporter, has been blown away by Trump's achievements that he's had a complete political epiphany ;)) but the GOP continues on its usual course of cutting taxes, raising deficits and screwing over the little guy )or gal) :mad:
