May Stundie Nominations

Did it get better than
.
I was kind of fond of the whole "saline may have been designed with the same devices as vaccine" not to mention "water is not ever toxic, ever ever ever" memes
.

It might come back, if the mods can be bothered pruning it. (If not, the original page that the newbie resurrected will surely return, as it was perfectly reasonable.)

There was a fair bit of name-calling culminating in a clear advocacy of suicide. To be honest, life's too short to worry about that stuff, even if it's meant seriously, which is hard to tell.

Rolfe.

I saw him ranting in the HFCS thread and thought his attitude was going to give us some Stundies.

I guess I missed the thread that went to deep storage. What was it about?

Vaccination. He seems to have a well varied repertoire of woo, anti-vax, NWO, troofer, etc.

This needs highlighting.

Surely if they were capable of flying at Mach 2 all those years ago with stone-age technology, we should be capable at flying at Mach 10 now, with our incredible and far superior knowledge and technology?

Concorde as stone age technology? What would that make the P-51 Mustang?

Don't fly with SaveAmerican guy; if he does the NorthWest pilot overfly the airport at MACH 10, you will have to wait for the next orbit to land. Okay, 1000 mile radius turn. Which will take an hour, and run out of fuel.

Hey, I found a Is the Space Shuttle a hoax? thread at the David Icke forums! :eye-poppi

Here is the post I'm nominating:

Based on my research it appears the shuttle is real. Real as in the thing you see bolted to the launch rocket is real. Thing is it is always empty when they launch it. No humans on board and possibly just enough hardware onboard to boost it into deep space junk. I don't believe one ever re-entered the atmosphere. I think they are using several shuttles to fake re-entry by dropping them from the back of a big jet airliner like those you see piggy back on a 747 when they fly them around to space exhibitions.

In case you might wonder how it is possible to launch a shuttle with no man onboard just ask the Russians how they did theirs like that on the maiden voyage of their Buran shuttle before they closed down that project in the face of those people they milked 300 billion rubles for building and developing it.

Is this another conspiracy theory you plan on taking credit for exposing too? Just curious why you started the thread while knowing zip of the elementary fundamentals of these hoax clusters.

A hundred and thirty-odd faked shuttle missions. Wow, that almost makes the Apollo deniers seem rational by comparison.

Almost.

not only that, 130-odd shuttles slowly drifting away from earth, as far as im concerned that DOES make apollo deniers seem rational

neither compares to the stundie from a few months back, complete space travel denier, claimed anything leaving earths ionosphere would be instantly vaporized

I should point out that the Concorde thing seems to be part of a satire to help dubunk the Trieste Hoax nonsense.

If the shuttles are fake, how did they build the ISS (which can be seen by amateur astronomers on the ground) and get new instruments on board Hubble? And why has not even one so-called "astronaut" come forward to a newspaper with the proof of the hoax of the century?

Whilst reading the replies in this link

I came across this diamond from postabag
Who in their right mind would believe that Bob Beamon was able to jump an astonishing 29 feet in 1968, a feat that wasn't matched for 23 years??? Clearly this was faked to prepare people for the low-gravity antics they were going to be seeing in Apollo footage very shortly.

Brilliant!
the fact Jesse owens held the record for 25 years seems to have escaped him. (I expect that was faked to make Hitler invade Poland)
Jargon Buster

Some of that (the long-jump record and the Concorde flights) is quite clearly parody/satire poking fun at the Trieste denialism.

I didn't know about the Trieste before, so I've learned something from the Stundie nomination thread. How often can you say that?

Rolfe.

Well, you could say it often and repeatedly, on every thread you participate in. You might even get nominated for a stundie yourself if you do. :p

This is a tough decision, believe it or not. I honestly don't know whether this statement from Jammonius, who, let's face it, bestrides the Stundie scene like a modern-day Colossus, is an outstanding Stundie, or... something else. And, if the latter, I'm honestly not sure what else. Judge for yourselves.

Grasp this: Before any new skyscraper is built on GZ, they had better make sure that site is fully remediated as the effects of DEW are non-self-quenching.

By the way, I sure hope the remnant steel used in the USS New York wasn't used for any part of the hull that is below the waterline...:(

A clear and categorical description of a detailed property of a device that doesn't exist, that violates just about every physical law I can think of (because, if Jammonius's implication is to be taken at face value, this suggests that steel only partially dustified by his imaginary magic beam will continue to dustify, in defiance of the Law of Conservation of Energy - and once that one goes, the whole of physics collapses), combined with a suggestion that another imaginary magic process be used to counteract the first? Is it a Stundie, a piece of accidental science fiction, or simple meaningless word salad? I honestly don't know. And Jammonius, with his characteristic absence of self-awareness, sums up my feelings on the piece perfectly:

One enters into a strange place, however, when one seeks to turn what is down into what is up.

I think the best part of that is actually:
In case you might wonder how it is possible to launch a shuttle with no man onboard just ask the Russians how they did theirs like that on the maiden voyage of their Buran shuttle

Because obviously no other spacecraft has ever been launched without people on board. It's not just the stupidity of the whole claim, but that the only part he seems to think people might have a problem with is the one bit that everyone knows is entirely possible.
