I agree about the quote you selected, but I feel the need to argue the sublimity of the others. First, CR wants us to consider a portion of the Pentagon to be the whole Pentagon. Then there's the implication that there's something mysterious about the Pentagon collapse. Then there's the use of "Pentagram," with its connotations of the occult. Finally, when an idiot says something idiotic and declares, "any idiot could tell you that," I get a special feeling inside.

Okay, I'll grant you that. Too bad only one quote from each contestant makes it to the finals. Perhaps we could count the whole post as one entry? But that might be too big to have an effective impact....

Stundie was banned from here as a P'doh sockpuppet. However, I cannot say for certain that Stundie at SLC and Stundie here are / were the same person. Also, for some reason, even if P'doh is Stundie, he produces absolute gold as that character, better than his other avatars anyway.

The posting style doesn't quite match up for me either...usually you can TELL it's P'doh.

and its not so much because the award is his namesake, its because its unfair to everyone else if he gets to compete, lol

he was banned for being a sock of pdoh, but from SLC (post times/style, etc) its pretty clear hes not pdoh

he says he emailed the admins here about it and gotten no response, the admins say he never emailed them

I would recommend prohibiting name-calling as rule #1. That will eliminate most of the pathological skeptics (e.g., the JREF crowd) almost immediately.
