Matt Gaetz reported to be leaving the House

Matt Gaetz too stupid to understand difference between humor and reality:

Gaetz would had a heart attack with back in 1964, with all the teens in the US trying to sound just like the Beatles.
That whole twitter thread was full of incredible ignorance and stupidity, much of it coming from Candace Owens a individual I have total contempt for. She was, basically a failed journalist before she jumped on the Trump wagon in 2017, figuring a Black Woman who became a Fanatic Trump Loyalist could rake in some money as a right wing favorite "token".
Yes, I am convinced she is only in it for the money.

A grifter? Say it ain't so, Joe!

Wait....we fought wars to stop American kids from watching too much Peppa Pig? Or getting Brit accents and using Brit terms? Was that the Great Peppa Pig War or Peppa Pig War II? Well, I certainly missed the boat when I was teaching history!

I repeat: Gaetz would have has a total mental collapse if had been around in 1964 at the height of Beatlemania....

He's already had one. He's aligned himself with MTG. How stupid do you have to be?

Not stupid at all it seems. :(

Her views are those of an increasing proportion of the GOP membership - possibly even a majority.

She is firmly aligned to the de-facto leader of the party - Donald Trump - to whom most, if not all, elected GOP representatives defer.

She's a money raising machine.

If you're a GOP representative in a deep red district/state, you have little or nothing to lose by aligning yourself with MTG and likely plenty to gain. :(

A pair of comments I found on Newsweek's story about the Tweet and reactions to it:

"Could it be that Matt's dates are still in the Peppa Pig watching age group, and that's his bigger problem?"

"Good point. He can't figure out how to groom them. The accent throws him off."

I can see why he wants to align with MTG. What I struggle with is why she thought it was a good idea, even amongst her supporters, I'd have thought he has the potential to be toxic.

Well, there are a couple of small risks...

If you actually wanted to actually get any of your idiotic ideas actually implemented, then giving more attention and support to the crazy wing might impact the Republican's ability to win a majority in congress or win the white house (since it may turn off moderate voters in swing states).

And while MTG might have been successful in fundraising, there is no guarantee that her success will be shared by others who join on the lunatic-train. (In fact, it may end up turning off other donors, especially corporate donors, who may not want to be seen as contributing to idiots.)

Not relevant to his legal woes, but pretty funny nonetheless.

Future sister in law of Gaetz is on social media dragging him as a pedophile and general creep.

Rep. Matt Gaetz’s future sister-in-law appears to have had more than enough of the Florida congressman, posting three TikTok videos in the last two days slamming him as “weird and creepy” and “a literal pedophile.”

Roxanne Luckey—the sister of Gaetz’s fiancée, Ginger Luckey—was sharply critical of the congressman and his treatment of young women, saying she “unfortunately was not surprised” to have learned Gaetz was under federal investigation for sex crimes.

In one video Monday night, Roxanne Luckey told a story about Gaetz pressuring an older man to court her when she was 19. Roxanne Luckey called the move “weird and creepy”—and claims Gaetz yelled at her and her mother and went “full lawyer” when she confronted him.

And Gaetz made a total fool of himself (along with MTG) at the pro insurrectionist rally in DC today when they ran from a few protestors who were doing nothing worse then chanting and waving signs. Comedy Gold.

It's not that often that I've seen protesters get right in the vicinity with the speakers and cause disruption. I do know that most times protesters are expected and cordoned off, or sometimes even have a lawful designated area (I'm thinking the Westboro Baptist Church goons.)

This will be opening the floodgates for much more minor events and we'll probably be seeing this sort of thing much more often, from both sides.

That tells you all you need to know about how well organised these idiots are.
