Yes, the person that doesn't want to murder all Muslims is the bigot.![]()
Bigotry - "intolerance toward those who hold different opinions from oneself."
How does not wanting to murder all Muslims make one not a bigot?

True, but the point remains: why are you puzzled that the news outlets are focusing on this?
That too. Thanks to endless discussion on the news, future bombers will know better than to put their devices in a dumpster! ...
The point remains, drop everything start 24/7 news coverage on all three major news networks is not useful.
Good news, liberals! There is still an aspect of this story that you can turn into a "teachable" moment, even though (regrettably) the bomber did not turn out to be a white Christian:
You can lecture us intolerant conservatives on how the evil police turned this man into a terrorist! Why, it ties right in with the Black Lives Matter movement; just change the name to Black and/or Muslim Lives Matter.
Do you think I don't know that it's the news media's business model to do this?Of course not. But then, 24/7 news coverage is not useful to begin with.
The point is that, unfortunately, big events like this tend to attract and keep attention more than smaller events that, in the end, cause more harm. That's human nature and it's neither surprising nor liable to change in the near future, so one wonders why you bring it up, except by sheer frustration, because doing so is not very useful, either.
Which might have been the point.I've been told (...and am still trying to locate the news article the person who told me mentioned.) that some idiot went on Facebook and claimed that (a) he was the bomber and (b) that it was done to win greater rights for Homosexuals.
That kind of claim (false or otherwise) is going to have the opposite effect.
A police source told the Daily News the department is investigating the blog. Another source said the NYPD is speaking to local LGBT activists for any clues about the webpage.
The page, which had a rainbow flag in its banner, said the bombs are a protest against the oppression of the LGBT community— even though they were left in one of New York's most gay-friendly neighborhoods.
Do you think I don't know that it's the news media's business model to do this?
What is the usefulness of discussing anything in this forum?
The weird thing I find as an outsider is your police releasing every bit of known info as it happens.
Which comes in bits and pieces and just causes more wild speculation

No, I'm asking you why you bring it up.
If you have a solution to this problem you'd like to propose, I'd like to hear it. Otherwise you're just complaining. And what's the usefulness of that?

"Be on the look out for Mr X. He could be arm and dangerous.
Mr X has now been apprehended."
Stoopidz cops!
"Stopped car. Looked dodgy"
"5 people being questioned. No charges"
"5 people being held by the FBI. No charges"
"FBI looking for someone of interest. Can't say more"
Are you in a time warp?
Are you in a time warp?
No why?
That was my pointBecause your post was this morning's news, we are now into late afternoon with a lot more known, especially about who those 5 people were.
The farce is not who or for what reason this/these bombs were made.
It was the original wording in reports of "Intended Bombing"
Since when have bombs appeared out of luck, nowhere, "I inadvertently mixed up some nails and bits of chemicals and looked what happened"?
Winston Smith could not have written it any better.
