Neighbors are reporting that Warner was a quiet guy who kept to himself and never had any visitors. Big surprise there.

Just once I want to hear: "That guy? Oh yeah total psycho. Totally say this coming. No surprise at all."

In the old days we used a half-stick of 60%.
In the "old days" you could walk out of the hardware store with a case. [emoji1]

Never something in my urban life back then so I have to ask... was it, well "pricey"? Or damn cheap?

As a fulltime RVer I'm a bit concerned about what attention I and others are in for over the near future. [emoji15]
Pretty sure I won't be blasting my stereo anytime soon. [emoji1]

My prediction: Sales of that particular vehicle will soar. I understand that white Ford Broncos were very popular after OJ's run. People are so weird.

To be fair, we often do. Spoliered to avoid confusion with this case...

"Had a long history of violence"

Example: "A MONSTER with a history of violence inflicted horrific injuries on a woman which left her fearing for her life.

Adam Lewis led a campaign of abuse towards his vulnerable victim which isolated her from her friends and family
."

"Was known to police"
"Was under surveillance by police"
"A criminal record as long as your arm" etc....

Sometimes you get a weird mixture as when it was reported that some guy "had no enemies" but had recently been released for attempted murder.

To be fair, we almost always do. The 'never would've guessed/I don't like Mondays' type is mostly myth. When the shooting started in Parkland, students said they knew exactly who it was.

Dynamite? Back in the '90s, which was when I used the stuff a bit in the USA, it ran about 1-2 dollars per pound (a standard stock is a half-pound) depending on grade, manufacturer and quantity.
ANFO ran cents per pound.

Yeah, even in cases where people didn't positively expect a person to go shootyhands, they're often not really surprised to find out they did. The killings of Allison Parker and Adam Ward during a live news broadcast, and the Virginia Tech shooting, are examples of perpetrators like this.

But, complete surprises do happen. As far as I know, to date, no indication has ever been found that would've suggested the man who committed the Austin package bombings in 2018 was prone to do such a thing. Police found a confession video the perpetrator made, where he describes how he made the bombs, but even in this video he reportedly never gave anything resembling a motive.

The truck was reported to have been playing similar audio at a convenience store. The truck took off. Someone called police. Police caught up with the truck and pulled it over and detained the driver.

I have not heard anything about what audio the truck was actually playing. It may have been a bad prank or someone misheard something or the radio in the truck was playing a news report that was playing the audio from the truck bomb or any number of things.

Or it could be that he found out that the bomb truck was playing "Downtown" and thought, "I love that song. I think I'll listen to it." And a passerby said, "Hey, that's the same song the bomber was playing! And it's in a big truck."

Following something like the Nashville bombing, people get jumpy, and start seeing suspicious things all around.
