Nationalcosmopolitan, have you ever given really serious thought to how your proposed working schedule would work in climates where the weather is a critical factor? You know, some of us have to plan our enterprises on the basis of climate, and do not have the luxury of choosing when to do things or not to do them.

I am absolutely agreed that taking even one week vacation halfway through project is a very bad idea.
But to be a workaholic sort of person is bad idea too.
To people who are absolutely satisfy from their traditional lifestyle new symmetrical lifestyle need not.
Only people who attracted by my idea can easy rebuild there business in most cases of real life.

In Russia in very difficult places with cold climate: -50C use for many years so cold whath – method of job organization.
Shifts of workers comes their by helicopters for two weeks or for one month.
They work 12 hours a day – first shift and 12 hours a night – second shift almost with out days off and than with money two times more than in ordinary conditions of job they come home to get 2-week or a month free time.

So symmetrical lifestyle is only effective and almost only being used in super hard climate and geographic conditions.

In ordinary conditions it will work in most cases even better.
It has to be clear to every engineer.
 
NC, how are you going to engage in meaningful debate when you aren't even willing to consider the notion that you're wrong?

A more polite unbanned member, "lightcreatedlife@hom" rarely if ever stepped out of his own thread, in which he was attempting to explain a theory of everything. Unfortunately, he was not very good at it, and seems to have abandoned us. He had a web site, but unfortunately it comes up empty now. His accidental filling in of the wrong box in his registration, resulting in an incomplete address, is an omen.

50 years ago in so called high developed countries an average family – husband, his wife and 3 kids had 42 – 44 working hours a week and life quality according that time west standards.

Today an average family – husband, his wife and one kid has in average 40*2=80 working hours a week and life quality according today’s west standards.

So “workaholic and slavery parameter” of west society – week working hours at one family member to achieve modern life quality standards has increase at (80/3)/(42/5)=3.2 times.

You integrally averagely “three times” more slaves and workaholics than you were 50 years ago!

It is the main reason why you can’t agree with my simple idea – to return 42/5=8.4 working week hours at one west family member instead of today’s 80/3=26.7hours at one west family member.

It means that husband and his wife have work not more than 44/2=22hours a week to rise good there three kids.

With 22 working hours a week we have an absolute needful to use dominantly symmetrical lifestyle.

I persistently call you to return back stolen from you freedom for last 50 years and to get rid from mentality of slaves.

They smoke a huge specter of grass.

Simple calculation that uniquely proves that most off you are fanatical “from freedom runners” you cant understand.
