My understanding was that no flight recorders were found ot WTC, but I could be wrong. Far some reason my gut feel is that the pictures show what fligbht recorders should look like, and what ones that were severly damaged in other crashes and have been recovered look like. This in turn is used to show just how much damage and destruction occured that day, enought that the nearly indistructable black boxes were wiped out.

Is there anyone from here in Albany that can get some other pics of the display? I'm not saying that anything was left out or anything like that, but :rolleyes:

How about if they had done the kind of work that Gordon Ross, Frank Greening and so on have been doing, or trying to do. That would have been important and useful.

Just one thing to point out. "FLight recorder" and "Voice recorder" are two seperate devices. Every plane has two black boxes. The flight recorder records all the control commands and monitors and so on and so forth. It's essentially a "keystroke logger" for the aircraft controls and sensors. The Voice recorder is the familiar voice loop from the cockpit.

I dunno how this figures into things, but thought I'd put that out there. The two are often confused, or assumed to be in a single box.

The latest over their is the "official debate"

The post started with talk of 2 structural engineers offering their time to a private thread to debate with Stephen Jones over the fall of the WTCs. There never was a final decision given on it. But quickly it turned to a rouse of the "official" debate, where the scholars have posted a challenge to an open debate.

I REALLY WISH SOME QUALIFIED STRUCTURAL ENGINEERS ETC...WOULD TAKE THEM UP ON THEIR CHALLENGE TO PUT THESE F&*KING A&*HOLES IN THEIR PLACE ONCE AND FOR ALL.

I mean can you see the little keebler lady versus the MIT panel in a debate about the WTCs coming down. OR top members of ASCE versus little Steven Jones in a debate over the use of Thermite.

I wish someone would set this thing up!!!

I wonder how open the challenge really is. Will they only accept NIST/gov't people listed in their challenge, or would they settle for proxies. If so, we should absolutely try to recruit a panel.

edit: We may have to hold our noses and work with johndoeX or someone else from the "other side" to liaison with the Scholars.

It's all in the phrasing. Suppose I ask you, "Some people have claimed that the World Trade Center Towers were brought down by controlled demolition. Do you agree or disagree?"

Well, you would agree that some people have claimed that, right? And even if I ask "Do you agree or disagree with them?" some people will still say they agree because they're agreeable people, or they didn't catch the last two words.

If, on the other hand, I were to ask, "What caused the World Trade Center towers to collapse?" I suspect that the percentage mentioning controlled demolition on their own would be very, very low.

Because, my very inquisitive friend, they didn't need to. Only someone ignorant of the physics involved would call the "official" story into question and demand such a simulation be done.

Are you in the US? If you're north of the border, the probable place to start is with the RCMP.

Re: The phone and contact information, you have to decide on that; I don't think they'll investigate without it. The good news is that Hushmail is headquartered in BC, so they will cooperate with BC authorities. You could also contact them about the abuse, although they require a name and phone number as well.

That's very interesting hate mail you get there, Mark. Personally, I don't understand what gets these people to that point. What the hell did you do to them that you didn't tell us ?
