Pareidolia gets into the newspapers all the time, stories about people who think they've found an image of the Virgin Mary in their toasted sandwich or whatever make good page fillers in the summer silly season. So I think it's perfectly possible that flaccon will be able to find a local journalist to write a story about her and her imagined voices. If there's little else happening it might even get picked up by the tabloids for a while. But after a few days they'll move on to the next "human interest" story, and that will be it.

I agree that there is nowhere flaccon will get a more sympathetic and genuinely helpful hearing than here. If we can't help her (and it's been clear for some time that the the real help we can give will always be angrily rejected) then no-one can. She may find a few more people who think they can also hear the voices, but that won't help her. Quite the reverse.

Right let me get this straight, you seriously believe that the voice that now comes out of my computer is a delusion?

Let us hear it and we'll tell you what we think it is.
This.

I hear voices coming out of my computer all the time. It is, after all, one of the things they are designed to do. So hearing a voice coming out of your computer does not make you delusional. Assuming it's spirit voices without first eliminating every other possible explanation does, however, make you irrational.

It could be that you are interpreting random noises as words, i.e pareidolia. It could be a real voice, in which case there are many possible ways it could be being picked up. Maybe you've got a web tab open that's picking up an ad with audio (I often suddenly start hearing a voice or music when I'm browsing which turns out to be that). Maybe you accidentally downloaded something and it's been playing quietly in the background ever since. Maybe it's interference from a radio broadcast. Maybe, maybe .... there are lots of possibilities to be eliminated before it would be sensible to even consider the notion that it's the voice of some kind of disembodied spirit.

Don't you think that, if these two were really confident ghosts were using their computers to communicate, they would be chomping at the bit for rigorous testing?

On some level, they don't believe.

As always, Pixel42, a respectful and rational reply.
Scrappy, when are you going to post a link to a recording of one of those recordings of a clear and complete phrase transmitted by the spirits?

They can speak, heal, draw, explain certain things, differentiate colours, join in conversation. They're more than voices on computer. I think what they're already doing is pretty magic, but I have to try that. Wait, I recall explaining to a friend how spirits-guides communicate with other spirit guides. For instance, I asked him to put the phone down, call out a colour, and I'll see if the spirits can tell me. As I was texting him the colour "purple" he'd phoned me up because "Purple rain" had just come on the radio. Sounds like a big coincidence and yes I should try that again.

All these claims early on and yet no solid evidence supporting any of them, after all these weeks.

How surprising.

Has anybody ever managed to meet up with Scrappy or at least chat to him on the phone. I know the mods appear to have cleared him of being a sockpuppet but it appears that every time Flaccon gives up trying to convince people, Scrappy appears. I'm not accusing him of anything but it would be helpful if we at least knew that there is a gentleman living in Nottingham who after only meeting with Flaccon several times knows all about her, appears to know what she is doing at any particular time (ie gardening) and would trust her with his life (at least we can rule out him being a spirit then).

There clearly is a dude on camera on one of the recordings. And he had to show the mods ID.

He'll trust her with his life, but she won't even admit to hanging out with him...

Flaccon, scrappy (aka Mr Robin "Rob" Roberts), Mr Bulger, the GP, et al. look to be a suspicious bunch, but I'm sure we can trust the mods to have vetted them so at least those who have posted here appear to be different people.

Whether they are in any way trustworthy or credible are different questions.

Thanks! I didn't know that.
I would still like to know how a gentleman from Nottingham found this lady who lives ninety miles away. Also what he considers to be proof that she can genuinely produce spirit voices. It's a long thread though so I may have missed the bit where he told us what proved it for him.

You didn't miss it--we're still waiting for it.

Yup, pretty much.

Read your own sentence again..."you seriously believe that the voice that now comes out of my computer is a delusion?"

Yet you omitted the important part. The voices in your computer cannot be heard by anyone else who is not a true bleever. The voices are not in your computer, the voices are in your head in a classic example of pareidolia. This does not mean you are mad/mentally defficient/insane or anything else like that. It simply means you are experiencing the audio equivalent of seeing bunny rabbits in the clouds.

Somewhere in the back of your mind, I think you know this, because you flat out refuse to upload any example of the "voices in your computer".

ETA: Still waiting for flaccon's PM

Flaccon and her disciples remind me of those people who followed Forrest Gump when he ran aimlessly across the country. When he finally stops all the twits following him are waiting for a wise word of guidance. But he’s an idiot and they’re stuck in the middle of nowhere...
