Now I understand what is with all the references to Joe Six Pack and Joe the Plumber the McCain camp was trying to get the Jomentum back.

McCain IS on the road to victory. Unfortunately, he's heading the wrong direction with his turn signal on.

Why does Lieberman continue to put out for McCain when McCain dropped him on his head for Palin.

Gosh, that Lieberman sure is a flunky charitable.

How do we know that Samuel Wurzelbacher a.k.a. "Joe the Plumber" isn't Oliver's spy? I mean, "Wurzelbacher" for heaven's sake.

As a Scot I do wonder about this "Joe the Plumber" thing. Seems to me people earning $250,000 (about £140,000?) per annum could stand to contribute a little more in tax to society? I accept it isn't super wealthy but isn't it at least comfortable?

One small consideration for a human being, one giant leap into the waiting arms of a laughing Karl Marx.

Parsman,

the median household - that means 2 people working a full time job - in the US in 2007 was $50,000. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Household_income_in_the_United_States

So while $250K is not Donald Trump or Bill Gates terrirory by any means
It does represent FIVE times the median household income and puts the person in to the top 10%( I think) of earners in the world.

Now, as you've seen, some people believe that gaining said status entitles you to
less responsibility, less accountability and less expense, while having more influence and special treatment. Anything less than this = socialism. marxism, communism - you pick your poison. It's a US cool aid thing. It's served every sunday.

McCain is indeed on the Road to Victory. Kind of.
It is actually located in Alaska.
And it is not a road, it is a bridge.
And the place it goes isn't usually called Victory.
It is usually referred to by it's nickname; Nowhere.
