LCFC: $20 million.

$20 million in Monopoly money, maybe. I't'll take some convincin' to get me to believe anyone gave them $20 million to do anything short of hurtling themselves into the sun along with the telephone sanitizers.

That's $2 million MORE than the budget for United 93.

Pink Flamingos only cost $12,000 and it's WAY more factually accurate than LC:FC:RC:DC:UC

Sooooo three wrong out of three.

Maybe Avery should make a documentary about it.

It never ceases to amaze me how dead wrong they get every single thing they say. Oh, and I doubt that telling out and out lies about real film makers, especially on the topic of donating money to the victims of 9/11, will win them any brownie points with the people they are "negotiating" with re: LooseWithTheTruth - FC.

Nor will making up obscenely large numbers about a non-existent budget (i.e. LYING) during interviews.

Negativ, please, for the love of all that is good in this world, NEVER EVER EVER MENTION PINK FLAMINGOS AGAIN!

again, i think the IRS should be taking a nice look into these guys.

IS LTW even a registered corp/org/business?

With that kind of cash, you would think they could get around to interviewing one of the 7 hijackers who are still alive. Or at least a single person who participated in the identification of the bodies at Shanksville or the Pentagon.

From the LC blog

"We have no budget"
"Our budget is $1 million"

Mmmmmkay....

Most importantly - where has the money come from? They claim to have signed no deals as of yet - so no one can technically have given them a budget.

Could this money have come out of donations, the ad's on their website etc?

$1m seems a bit excessive for a current budget. And I think their hopes for $20m for advertising are a bit 'over-hyped'. In other words - I think they shouldn't get their hopes up.
What....Such incompetance and nobody was fired? I demand an investigation because Korey's quote was an inside job.

I still can´t believe that nothing is signed yet. Practically
this means that the movie isn´t even ready and we have
to wait "God knows how long" until we hear something
about the "movie"... :boggled:

Well, that's okay. We will have LyteTrip's fantasy earth shattering video release soon some time in the very near future millenium. Not to mention John D'oh Boy's video, which is certain to be...

er, never mind.

It's been delayed because he still hasn't decided whether to go with Bon Scott or Brian Johnson era AC/DC for the soundtrack.......;)

I checked out the budget for Jackass: Number Two. That was up around 12 million, somehow.

I work with a lot of people in the business, and Dylan has no idea what he's talking about. He'll probably end up like Troy Duffy, the $@*$*&%*hole that did Boondock Saints.

Look that guy up, he could be Dylan's fat cousin.

Yah I watched that documentary on Troy, What was it called? man what a waste...literally. He has it all at his finger tips, and then he opened up his loud, stupid, obnoxious mouth, and then...well last I heard he wasnt doing anything with his career.

I am not sure Dylan will even end up with as much as Troy did. At least Duffy, for all his obnoxiousness, seemed to have genuine talent...and may be Dylan does, but he certainly hasnt shown it with any of the LC movies.

TAM:)

True that.

The documentary is called "Overnight". It is a must-see for anyone thinking of trying to make it as a filmmaker in Hollywood.

The part that kills me is that I'm sure these idiots will look at box office numbers in the end to guage success.

Hell, Titanic made a ton of money, but it's on my top ten worst films ever list, as well as the lists of a majority of people I know.

My dream is to obtain success in the industry to a point where I have decision making power, and then be able to laugh people like Dylan out of my office.

After some investigoogling, it strikes me that even a hint of truth that they had been given (or even rumored to have been promised) a budget of $20 million would surely create some serious "buzz" in at least the entertainment media. That's got to be some sort of record for a documentary budget, and certainly for a documentary made by unknown post-teens.

"the most expensive documentary series ever produced by the BBC - £6 million ($12 million-ish, I think)

Fahrenheit 9/11 $6 million production, $12 million advertising

DA: We need $20 million to finish the movie.

Studio Exec: What could you possibly need that much money for?

DA: We want Charlie Sheen to narrate it.

SE: The guy from "2 1/2 Men?" He wants $20 million to narrate a documentary?

DA: But he's also the son of a former President.

SE: He was a fictional President.

DA: No, JFK was real."

SE: Are you that dumb? JFK is dead. Martin Sheen played him in a movie.

DA: That's what they want you to think.

SE: Get out of my office.

DA: Can I expect to hear from you?

SE: Don't call us, we'll never call you.
