Latest Bigfoot "evidence"

There may be a lot that Bigfoot Knowers like Chris and Northern Lights don't know. About things like Bigfoot rape of other Bigfoots and even other species both alive and dead. They don't know if Bigfoot homosexuality is extremely common (far more common than in humans) or what. They only know that it eats bark and can easily be seen on thermal camera.

How can it be seen on a thermal camera when bigfoots have an inate ability to sense the presence of cameras, especially those noisy trail cams??? Wouldn't a thermal camera put out more waves than a trail cam?

Werewolves, 'telling ya'll...

Ain't no easy way of killing them... How many hunters load thir guns with silver bullets? How many Native Americans hunted with silver spears and arrows?

That's why no bloody bigfoot body was ever found and will never be.

Damn werewolves are just as smart as humans 'cause them r humans. Smart as humans, the senses, agility and strengh of a top predator... How can u expect them to be caught dead or alive? Not even trail cam traps. They see them, they know what they r, they avoid them.

Fund me werewolf-hunting expedition and I'll bag ya one of them.. At least DNA or image. I'm a werewolf researcher. Lots o' years in teh fields, deep woods cataloguing their packs, their groups. Just need mor money to deliever proof.

We now interrupt this thread for a commercial announcement...

My report on the Ketchum Project is now up online from Skeptical Briefs. This forum was critical in being able to get the characters and timelines in place. So, I have been trying to get this online as soon as possible. It's the most comprehensive writeup on it in one place without having to piece it together over the many years.

Thanks to those of you (you know who you are) who helped with this. It was worth it to document such a fiasco in print.

A condensed version appears in Skeptical Inquirer. I suspect, as usual, that 'footers won't link to it because they don't like the hosting site. Or me. They are prickly that way.

Excellent work!

Bigfoot bashes it's prey to death with fists, or smashes it against a tree, according to several Class A reports. Bigfoot also carries it's prey away from the kill site to a secret place. So there's little chance of finding a bigfoot kill and one certainly wouldn't be out in the open.

Couple of things.

First, what the devil is a Class A report? I've worked with a lot of scientists in the field and don't recall hearing such a thing.

Second off, caves can be very good places to find fossils. Caves can mummafy remains fairly easily, resulting in remarkable preservation. Neotoma middens are often preserved that way, as are such typically unfossilizable remains as sloth skin and dung.

What this tells me is that bigfoot should be relatively easy to identify in the fossil record. Yet, for some reason, we haven't found any evidence at all of such a creature.

The paper I linked to yesterday, says that spiral fractures in the long bones occur in a percentage of wolf kills. bears and wolves crack the bones to get at the marrow.
I asked an uncle of mine, a radiologist, what causes spiral fractures. There are a lot of ways to do it other than twisting the bones. Skiing is a fantastic way to generate spiral fractures--which means falling down a mountain is as well. Basically, anything that torques the bone, which is difficult but certainly not impossible to do. From a taphonomic perspective animals putting pressure on bones relatively shortly post-mortum can do it as well. Spiral fractures are not good indicators of any particular cause; you can estimate stresses and rule out some, but you're left with a very, very wide range of activities that can cause them.

Ah, so it's something only used in alleged bigfoot sightings. Funny how they attempt to make their pet project sound like science, but don't put the effort in to make it ACTUALLY scientific.

One of the best* Class A reports and the inspiration for my desire to see pigs thrown...

^^ I challenged that report on the BFF. Of course I was instantly vilified for calling someone a liar. Which I didn't outright do. I just said the leaps were pretty fantastic and pretty much outside the range of all known terrestrial animals. But I was just a meanie-head skeptic who has no faith in my fellow man at all and thinks the world is full of fibbers.

Well, it is.

It seems this could be a good ol Texas boy having fun with the BFRO. Describing a half inch scar on his left ring finger might have been a bit much but could have been useful in guaging the level of credulity with his enquirers.

This report was also posted on the Wood Ape club website..whatever it is called. The NAWAC boys. As if a fairy tale like that is going to help their legitimacy with any serious person.

The pig thrower witness may be a person known or associated with the Texas Believer Club. I don't know if that's true but certainly the best way to prevent being called a liar or hoaxer is to be friends with the people who would be in a position to declare that. We often see Footers vouching for the credibility and honesty of other Footers. If you can mingle that way you may end up with a kind of immunity. It only works within the Cult of Bigfootery but that's all that really matters in the end.

This just in: check you police scanner for reports of prowlers . . . it might just be bigfoot!

I finished reading the article. Great job on chronicling the entire fiasco! I wish 'footers would read this as it may serve as a precautionary tale. As it is, I suspect that we will see more "important proof to be released soon!" claims in the future and certain people will fall for it.

I thought about bringing the paper up on the BFF. But what is the point? I'll just ridiculed for agreeing with it. Besides most of the faithful have moved on to Sykes. He is surely going to deliver the goods for them. He has even joined Bigfootology, whatever in the world that is. And also he apparently had an experience recently in the PNW. No details of course.

And when he fails to deliver, they will just double down on the next promise. It's a shame they never run out of chips.

My reading of the runes is a little different from this. Sykes is the last chance saloon for the whole BF thing in many people's eyes, I reckon. When he delivers a proper paper in a proper journal, properly peer reviewed, and it says that there is absolutely nothing to this whole idea, then I'll bet a third of those with any interest in the subject will finally close the book on it, and wander off to pastures new.

Of course, if he says "yep, BF exists" then with his reputation it is going to mean an awful lot of people taking an awful lot of notice. But I'll bet your house that he doesn't.
