KSM to be tried in NYC

I just got to wondering, what if a truther nut case gets on the jury and the trials ends up in a hung jury. It is a frightening possibility.

I was just reading about that. I hope NYC is ready for this. Between the protesters on all sides of the spectrum, and those that have nothing to do with 9/11 and just want to further their political agenda, this is going to be a security nightmare.

I began wondering if NYC is the best venue, in regards to finding a jury pool that wouldn't have animosity towards the defense. Then I realized that there is probably no where in the US and most of the rest of the world where you could find 12-14 people who didn't hear about the events of 9/11/01.
 
We will hopefully get most of the trial exhibits online, then, as per Moussaoui. Should be very interesting.

Was the Moussaoui evidence posted while the trial was going on? Otherwise it might be a while before anything is released.
 
It should be a plethora of evidence, since 4 other trials will also be conducted. Now that it is in NYC, you will probably see leaks to the press after discovery.
 
Oh goody. More evidence for truthers to ignore or declare faked.
 
I wonder if there will be truthers out there protesting for the release of the innocent KSM
 
Hopefully he will die in a horrible car crash on the Van Wyck Expressway, on his way from JFK.
 
It will be interesting to get the survivng family members' reactions. I have a feeling you will see many protesting this decision.
 
What a wonderful opportunity for da Twoofers to set KSM free! If I were a twoofer I would contact KSM's attorneys and tell them I have evidence that would exonerate their client.
 
Come on truthers - put your money where your mouth is. Now is your chance to actually do something with all that evidence and proof you have collected up. This poor innocent cave dweller muslim dude is about to be tried for his life on trumped up terrorism charges when all he could possibly be guilty of is maybe looking a little too longingly at his goats. Get in there and start filing friend of the accused briefs and all that legal carp. Surely this is your big chance to be heard before the court of the world!

I await your legal motions with bated breath.;)
 
Truthers are pretty quite about KSM. I haven't been able to get any of them to talk about. Does anyone have any news about how the We Are Change gang has responded to this? Do they even know yet or they waiting until Luke reads JREF to find out what's really going on?

If KSM's legal team doesn't present any 911 Truth crap, could a group like We Are Change sue them for having inappropriately represented him? what legal actions could they follow when they are ignored?

Although they did miss their chance helping Continental Airlines and the insurance companies sued by Larry Silverstein. It's sure strange these firms were willing to loose billions when the evidence that Silverstein was behind it all is right in front of them.

if the Truthers protest in KSM's defense outside the NY Federal courthouse, they will both be standing up for their beliefs (insane...yet commendable) and at the same time be hated by all of NYC.

so what is more important Truthers? standing up for your values...or popularity?
 
Won't the first action by his lawyers be to demand a change of venue?

I think this is a bad idea, but I'm not a process guy, I'm a results guy. As long as the process ends up with KSM either getting the death penalty or life without parole, I'm satisfied.

I do assume that some of the Troofers will picket at the courthouse. Should make for interesting theatre.

KSM shouldnt get death, not because I'm anti-dealth penalty, but because he wants to die.

And they could even have their day in court in front of the worlds media, how good an opportunity would it be?

I'll defer the final, authoritative answer to LashL (*bowsthreetimestowardsToronto*), but from my point of view and admittedly limited understanding of the law, I don't see how they could get involved at all. What would their standing be? Again, LashL can explain this better, but you need to have some sort of standing in the case to even make an argument about it. They have none that's recognizable.

I think the most they could try to do is work towards an appeal of whatever happens in the trial via some truther version of the Innocence Project. But once they started making their fantasist arguments, that would sink like a rock. No one would take them seriously.

LashL, goddess, anything to add, correct, or smite about this? :D
