wrong. Wisconsin is the beer capital of the world. It is only a small slap on the wrist unless you get 5 or more violations in a 10 year period.

Second offense OWI / DUI has a fine range of $350 to $1,100 plus the $355 surcharge, jail from 5 days to 6 months, and license revocation from 12 to 18 months.

Third offense OWI / DUI has a fine range of $600 to $2000, plus the $355 surcharge, jail from 30 days to 1 year, and license revocation from 2 to 3 years.

Fourth offense OWI / DUI has a fine range of $600 to $2,000, plus the $355 surcharge, jail from 60 days to 1 year, and license revocation from 2-3 years.

Fifth and subsequent OWI / DUI is a felony offense. There is a mandatory minimum fine of $600 but not more than $2,000, plus the $355 surcharge, imprisonment of not less than 6 months or more than 5 years, and a license revocation of 2 to 3 years.

While many people who are used to spending time in jail may see 6 months in jail as a "slap on the wrist," I see it as something I would like to avoid.

SOBER drivers are the ones who need to be busted as they cause most traffic accidents.

Nominated for a Stundie!

Sober drivers are actually the best defense when they're out with someone who has been drinking. Those who stay sober throughout this holiday are likely to get their friends home safely.

Jeez Rolf, I thought you'd be sober enough not to continue making the same mistakes.

The Belgians make the best beer.

[derail]
Belgian beer is delightful, but the best beer in the world--I think not. If you venture away from the Bud, Miller, Coors and dive into the craft beer of the US, you'll find that we are at the forefront of beer world-wide.

IMO, the best and most interesting beer in the world is made right here in the US of A.

Which American beers do you suggest I try?

Depends on what your preferences. I would start Here (You'll notice that a Belgium beer is number 1--that tells you just how good they are--but notice how many American breweries are in the list)

ETA: Sorry for the derail, mods. Once I get started talking about beer.....

A good example of a fine beer you can get just about anywhere in the country (along with Sierra Nevada Pale Ale), but that's just the beginning.

You know what? It's Christmas. I'm sure the mods won't mind a few posts about beer ;)

Good question. If you join one of the two major beer rating/info sites (beeradvocate.com and ratebeer.com) there's a lot of foreign members. I'm sure you'd find one in Belgium who can help you with that.

The problem with a great beer brewing nation like Belgium is that they are less likely to want to import beer no matter how good it is.

Geeze, a Charlie Sheen thread and a Kevin Barrett thread on at the op of the page at the same time.

Is it wife-beater day today?

Doesn't matter. He's pleading guilty. If only someone had contacted his defense team to let them know the charges had been analyzed and debunked...

all the charges against Barrett were dropped due to lack of evidence.

Please stop acting like a moron. Barrett is not a wife-beater.
