I agree with ahhell that the terms fascist and rascist have often been used by people on the left with as much regard for accuracy and truth as people on the right use the terms "Communist", but in the case of Trump they are just a good description of what he is preaching. and what he probalby is. Trump lies so much it is hard to tell if he is saying what he beleives of if he is just saying crap he knows his brain dead followers will eat up.
I think that might be a problem ; the Boy who Cried Wolf strikes again. SOme people will indeed dsimiss it as just politics as usual because of past misuse.

And I think words have meaning. Let's go through the list, shall we?

1. Powerful and Continuing Nationalism: Yup.
2. Disdain for the Recognition of Human Rights: Yup.
3. Identification of Enemies/Scapegoats as a Unifying Cause: Yup.
4. Supremacy of the Military: Looking at the definition here, yup.
5. Rampant Sexism: One of Dump's defining characteristics.
6. Controlled Mass Media: He would love nothing more. Critical media coverage infuriates him and he already calls the media the enemy of the people.
7. Obsession with National Security: Yup.
8. Religion and Government are Intertwined: Yup.
9. Corporate Power is Protected: Yup.
10. Labor Power is Suppressed: Yup.
11. Disdain for Intellectuals and the Arts: Project 2025 aims to abolish public schooling and turn what schools remain into indoctrination sites.
12. Obsession with Crime and Punishment: Yup.
13. Rampant Cronyism and Corruption: Yup.
14. Fraudulent Elections: Yup, up to and including an attempted coup when he lost in 2020.

Now, this list is from 2003 and the word 'fascist' has been around for decades and decades, but when people are presented with this list of traits, a lot of them still think it must've been shoehorned to fit Dump, since it fits him that well.

To be fair, a lot of these are inherent traits in US politics, but that doesn't mean Dump doesn't fit the criteria. A leopard surrounded by other leopards is still a leopard �� .

And to be clear, mostly I don't think anyone cares about any of it, so its insincere.

Actually, judging by how many people are up in arms over Dump's politics and Project 2025, it appears to me that a whole lot of people care. Did you see the celebrations when Biden won in 2019?
