Kamala Harris Election Campaign

NPR calls Trump win decisive.
Me: Trump won by 100 000 in maybe 3 states. Several million democrats in blue states did not vote because it made no difference there. Decisive is 2-3% in a few states?
To be fair, I agree winning possibly every single swing state is pretty decisive.

It is if it decides the question.

IMnotreallyHO, Harris did not run the best possible campaign. Her message became increasingly "vote for me because I'm not Donald Trump". It's great that she had a lengthy discussion on her ideas on the campaign's website, but where was that in her speeches? The Republican Party's chief pollster, Frank Lunz, has said basically the same thing.
The fact that as her campaign went on it increasingly pivoted towards the elusive "never trumper" right wing vote was a massive mistake too. The more she associated with the likes of Liz Cheney, the more of her base she pissed off.

It seems the third way factions that reverse engineered take overs of lect leaning and worker parties in the 90s still haven't learnt their lesson: If you don't give your base something to vote for, they won't vote.

So in your view, honestly admitting that a kid got chased around town by violent adults for several minutes before defending themselves means I'm "MAGA". Somehow, lying about the situation in order to demonize a teen and make a grown up aggressor intent on harm is the "good thing" in your view?

It's retarded that an objective understanding of the events is something you consider to be "MAGA".
If you keep making excuses for nazis you get tarred with the same brush as them.

Not an expert, but yes, it did seem she took her own voters somewhat for granted. 'We know liberals and women are pissed, so let's focus on getting as many GOP voters as possible on board as we can, too'.

So tell me his plan.
1. Have the stop the steal rally
2. then... citizens attack capitol that has armed police.
3. and. ?
4.Then WIN!

Was that it?

So he told the crowd to be peaceful but he really really just wanted to take over the capitol with no army or guns or coalition at all. Just somehow it would work. Okayyyyy.
You really do not understand the politics of your own country do you? Far be it for me, a foreigner, to explain to you how your own political system works, so I'll let the AP do it for me...

This became known as the Green Bay Sweep...

"The Green Bay Sweep is the name of a procedural strategy to attempt to overturn the 2020 United States presidential election advocated by Peter Navarro. He outlined the plot in a book published in November 2021 and spoke about it in multiple media interviews. It took its name from the Packers sweep, where the Green Bay Packers of the 1950s and '60s, led by Vince Lombardi, would flood a zone with blockers, allowing the football to be advanced dependably behind them. In the political iteration, devised by Steve Bannon, the Electoral College vote count would be blocked by repeated challenges to various state's vote counts by Republican members of the House and Senate favorable to Donald Trump. Each challenge could take up to two hours of debate by each chamber, individually, leading to as much of 24 hours of televised hearings.
The Green Bay Sweep was intended to implement a strategy laid out by the Eastman memos for the purpose of overturning election results such that Donald J. Trump would be designated as president for a second term.
According to the plan, public pressure created by the delay would lead state legislatures in six key battleground states with Republican-dominated legislatures – Arizona, Michigan, Pennsylvania, Georgia, Wisconsin, Nevada – to de-certify election results, with the intended outcome that Trump would have more certified electoral college votes than the election's actual winner, Joe Biden.
Trump supported the strategy, but Pence rejected it, and the plan was dependent on Pence's participation. It was difficult to pressure Pence, said Navarro, because all communication passed through his chief of staff, Marc Short, who had been president of the Koch Brothers-funded Freedom Partners."

Essentially, if Pence had gone along with the plan, The Fat Orange Turd would have succeeded in overturning the 2020 election, and remained president until 2025.... and if you think this is some liberal/democrat spin on what the plan was, Peter Navarro himself outlined this exact plan on MSNBC, CNN and FAUX NEWS...

Their backup plan was that if they could not get enough fake electors to give The Fat Orange Turd 270 for the win so it ended up tied 269-269, or if the counting of electoral college votes had to be abandoned, then the determination of who would be the next President would be thrown to a combined session of congress...

"If neither candidate gets a majority of the 538 electoral votes, the election for President is decided in the House of Representatives, with each state delegation having one vote. A majority of states (26) is needed to win. Senators would elect the Vice-President, with each Senator having a vote. A majority of Senators (51) is needed to win.
The GOP held a decided 32-17 edge in control of these state congressional delegations prior to the 2018 midterms. With Democratic gains in that election, the Republican edge narrowed to 26-22. In 2019, Michigan Republican Justin Amash became an independent, breaking that state's tie. As a result the current split is 26-23, with one tie (Pennsylvania)."

You sycophantic supporters of The Fat Orange Turd really are the worst of the low-information voters on the planet. You need to take Civics classes so that you understand what it looks like when a fascist wannabe dictator tries to illegally overturn an election. It defies belief that it takes a foreigner to explain this to an American.....

Err, actually, it doesn't. The words of Ron White have never been more true than they are now...

If Trump's winning by 4 million votes is "decisive", what was Biden winning in 2020 by 7 million votes? A rout? An annihilation?
Biden's victory in 2020 was also "decisive". I don't know what the threshold is but I wouldn't classify it as a "landslide" (or whatever superlative you have in mind).
