Trump deserves to lose, hitching his wagon to the abortion nonsense.
But that is throwing the baby out with the bath water.
It is sad as hell for rational people to see the idiocy of the American election process.
Clearly Harris is an idiot and Trump is clever, but the idiot looks to win. We hope there is not too much damage, America is by a country mile the only serious contender for the most important state in the history of the world.
Maybe we can agree on that and bury the hatchets.

No we can't.

Harris is neither an idiot or that Trump is clever. I am not measuring either's intelligence. Buttigieg crushes both of them. And while I would never say intelligence is unimportant, I would say its importance can sometimes be exaggerated.

Sometimes very smart people believe very dumb things. Sir Isaac Newton was maybe the smartest person who has ever walked the earth and yet was a religious idiot. As smart as I know Newton was, I wouldn't put him in charge of anything.

What's far more important is the decision process and what factors they use. This is why at this moment values and principles are more important than details. That isn't to say that details don't matter. They matter very much when it is time to implement decisions. But values and principles are what guides the process.
