My prediction is that when the dust settles the dems will have a Clinton/Prez.-Obama/VP ticket and they will be unbeatable.

Reverse that, and it's a little more realistic.

I would rather see Edwards as VP on the Obama ticket though.

Sorry, yelled was the wrong word. I was not trying to come off hostile. I just hope the public invests some time in researching the candidates this election so we don't get screwed over again.
I'll tip my hat to the new constitution
Take a bow for the new revolution
Smile and grin at the change all around me
Pick up my guitar and play
Just like yesterday
Then I'll get on my knees and pray
We don't get fooled again

Richardson - at least has some credentials, and an appearance of competence.
The rest of them? Personalities with lots of money, panderers, playing popularity games. Pure and simple politicians are not who I want as president.

Barrak Obama recently said that 10,000 people died in that Tornado in Kansas. Do you really want someone like that for president? Someone who confuses a few people with 10,000 dead?

Who the hell voted for Hillary? Hillary got 10 votes and Mike Gravel got 2? What the hell? Hillary who think video games are responsible for violence? That woman is simply fake. Her face looks like it's plastic and her whole personality seems to be the same, made of plastic.

I would be okay with voting for someone who is fallible and occasionally misspeaks. You don't really think he thought 10,000 people died, do you?

No prob. :)

I share your hope.

I'm voting for John Edward. Not John Edwards. We need a president who can communicate with the dead. The dead need representation throughout the country, not just in Chicago. VOTING RIGHTS FOR THE DEAD NOW!

So then you should be OK with Bush. He fits your criteria.

OK. I guess GWB really thought Queen Elizabeth was around in 1776 celebrating our country's independence.

Not the same. Bush corrected himself immediately, Obama did not.

I'll probably vote libertarian. I don't expect them to win, but I do hope that they hit the 5% mark and receive federal funding. I believe that all political parties would field better candidates if there were more than two horses in the race.

I'm leaning toward Giuliani. His best chance at victory is if we get another 9/11 attack before the primary. (Why is his name the only name on the list in italics?) Because he is Italian?

There's something (or many things ?) fake about Romney. I dig his wife because she has been a good advocate for MS. Um, I mean, against MS.

The Dem I like best is Richardson, but he is boring and looks like a dork on TV. That is why he's not going to win. I think he's VP material.

I voted Duncan Hunter cause I never heard of him.

I think we should call this kind of vote in general the scrut vote after its most famous proponent.

I think there is roughly a 5% scrut vote in all JREF polls.

For instance in this poll on whether you would vote for George Bush in 2008 if he could run again:
http://www.internationalskeptics.com/forums/showthread.php?t=77761&highlight=bush

The "Hell yes, this is my kind of guy. Just sorry he's not eligible to run again." got 10 votes (6.54%) My interpretation was that at least half of that was pure scrut vote, but one can never be quite sure.

The trick at times can be to determine what option gets the scrut vote in a poll. In this poll there wasn't an clear scrut vote choice so figuring out where the scrut vote was directed can be tricky. Obviously Duncan Hunter was a possible choice here but is he anymore likely a target of the scrut vote than Jim Gilmore?
