John McCain Diagnosed With Brain Cancer

It is none of that. I don't know how you determine that from acting their conscious.

Apparently we can't conclude anything from someone's actions and statements because we don't really know what they are thinking. Okay- if you really believe that good luck in making it through life.

Actually they are terrible at it! I only wish the Democrats could operate more as a unified voting force. But let me not disturb your usual posting approach, which begins, "But your side, stupid and evil liberals, ..." whatever the actual issue. Please carry on.

With voting yes I agree, your side sucks at it. But that's because the democrat party is made up of single issue voters.

As far as my approach, it was no different than what you did, I just don't complain about it, I just answer it. ;)

And of course I didn't mention stupid or evil, that's already in your mind.

Spot the contradiction. Has anyone ever accused the poster of logical thinking?

You do understand the difference between voters and the people that represent them in congress? I guess we can now accuse you of comprehension issues?

They mindlessly vote on a unified agenda one minute, and they suck at it too because of their single issue hangups! It's a contradiction - and you castigate them for doing both one thing and the opposite as if both must be the wrong thing to do. This isn't rational thinking and it isn't me who has comprehension issues.

The dem congress person votes lock step. The dem voter doesn't vote lock step, they are made up of single issue voters.
One post is about congress people, the other is about voters.

You can apologise later. ;)

Why should I? There is no implication that you are talking about anyone other than congress people, as Giordano's reply is to your post about congress people.

Interesting how your side doesn't have any of these pragmatic congress people. They're pretty good at voting mindlessly unified on their agenda.

Congress people vote mindlessly on their agenda, and yet they don't. You agree with the claim explicitly about congress people and yet you accuse me of having comprehension issues. As you expect an apology from me, you will have no trouble giving one to me for the same reason.

My entire life I have found it very difficult and it has brought a lot of stress in my life

They have wait till 2018 to be able to do this? ??

This is his primary opponent from 2016.

If McCain dies in office a temporary replacement would sit until the next time the state votes as a whole, which means 2018. In the meantime I don't think there's anything that prevents this woman from lobbying for his position.

ETA: What a scuz.

ETA2:

“I would never presume to say what someone’s prognosis is without having examined them. As a Christian, I know there can always be miracles. But the likelihood that John McCain is going to be able to come back to the Senate and be at full force for the people of our state and the people of the United States is low,” said Ward.

If she does get appointed, Lindsey Graham will throttle her on the floor of the Senate.

ETA: My instincts tell me he will not resign without knowing who will replace him. I know that sounds odd, because I don't know where his cognitive ability is right now and I'm assuming he's still fairly cogent. He would probably be OK with whoever Sen. Jeff Flake is OK with.

Excep in the second post I said "the democrat party is made up of single issue voters" that might have been your clue that I was discussing "voters" not "congress people"

We don't even know what he has? He may not have long and may not be able to control who gets what.

That explains a bit, since it would be stupidly wrong if it were applied to a party that exists, but to the fictional "democrat" party it might be fictionally true.

I assume you mean "what cognitive ability he has," not was condition he has.

If Barry Goldwater had been unable to finish his 6th term, he would definitely have had some ideas on who the governor should appoint as a short-term replacement. Though he might not have had any real power over that, there would definitely be a discussion. McCain is not quite the iconic figure Goldwater was, but he's similar in some areas and has some ideas that do not align with party dogma, and he's generally well-respected. So, while it's not a given he would have any input, it's not out of the question, either.

One can hope that McCain's stature and reputation make it possible for him to have a say in the appointment of a successor, especially if he does so while still alive. Even if he disappoints some in his choice, it would be a nice gesture not to nullify him with too deliberate a speed.

I don't think Arizona would really suit Sarah.

Disagree, hopefully he stays out of it since he's just a rino and it would be another chance to get rid of a squish republican. Then we can be closer to being like your favourite party with having no dissent.
