The really odd thing about this is when I compare my "job" to Sylvias I wonder why people support her and we are just scraping by.

That is because some brains are more developed. People pay good money so why should we not take a portion?

I don't think you know what I do for a living. I work for a charity that helps people get back on their feet. We run day cares, free clinics, a homeless shelter, fix up houses for the elderly, and many other things. We don't give people false hopes, we get people on their feet again. Yet, she's the one who seems to have more supporters. When I go back to work on Monday and see the people in our lobby I'll just be glad they came to us and not to her.

I've done my family tree back 4 generations and don't recall an Emily, mostly Gertrudes for some reason but maybe you meant future family. My father could have really used some healing about 20 years ago, today, not so much.

This was already discussed before. Read his FAQ or this thread. In that thread, Robert (before his stroke) planned a website for Edward.

just saying some people claim Sylvia has to be an atheist to conduct herself with such blatant moral disregard for any afterlife. Let's face it, when she dies, she has a lot to answer for. There are some things no one should do for money. Pretending to talk to dead children is one of them. I personally consider this claim an insult to all my good atheist friends that would NEVER be able to spend a penny earned in the way Sylvia "earns" her money. Better an honest bank robber than a dishonest cold reader that takes on the mantle of religion.

If she has real powers, refusing to do all her readings for free (she is chosen by GOD to speak to the dead? Hello? If God gives you the gift of contacting the dead, it isn't so you can make a good profit and live in a nice house)confuses a lot of us. No -Sylvia claims that God has given her this gift without batting an eye. Nice lie to face God with Sylvia. Hope you are a vegan and working out a lot...

I think Robert has said that the Opal Jo Jennings case was the final straw for him. That's what made him select Browne for a site rather than any of the other psychics.
