There are assassination-related reasons for Oswald to try and get a job at the Clinton Asylum. There are no gay reasons for that trip. .
But there are gay reasons for his choice of company.
There are also non-conspiracy reasons for his attempts to get a job, and no reason to assume that the conspiracy reasons are true.
People can be gay, and can do things that evidence their relationships with out the relationship being their reason for their actions.
For example, if one of my friends wanted to go to a job interview, or shopping, or to the theatre in the company of her girlfriend she need not do those things because she was gay. But by going with her partner may be evidence of her sexual status.
She is entitled to want a job, a new dress, or a night out with out "gay reasons".
Welcome to the twenty first century.
