Given the context of the discussion I'm not sure of your point. If we follow the logic of Djj to its conclusion then we should avoid anything that could possibly propigate killing. With that perspective in mind then your examples are appropriate additions. We should avoid them according to the logic of Djj.

Putting that aside for the moment, people are fond of saying that the bible is a source of morality. I reject this. The bible is at best moraly ambiguous and at worst a source of immoral proscriptions including murder, slavery, filicide, infanticide, xenophobia, etc..

And let me be clear here, I'm not saying that the book merely has stories about such concepts but that it proscribs acts, or, proscribs how one must engage in them.

The lord's prayer along with other Psalm chants are considerd divinely inspired. Yet they include such chants as glorifying infanticide.

Yes, Christ said that to harm a child was one of the worst crimes that could be commited. Yet this raises a question, why did it take christ to make killing children immoral? If god is the same yesterday, today and forever then killing children was immoral before Christ or it is moral today.

I know that I am particularly hard on Christians. Odd since I have been a defender of Christians for so long. I'm happy to live side by side with Christians however I think that to move forward it is important to let go of the idea that the bible is some kind of moral guide. It's isn't and it can't be. Humans already know what is moral nd immoral. They can see for themselves that Psalm 137:9 and Numbers 31:17 are morally reprehensible. Non Christians know that. There is no great mystery there.

Still monitoring the prophecies, Bjorn. You truly must be worried, but that is at least admirable in a sense.

So maybe I shall start a new integrated prophecy thread, about the Lord's COMING and confirmation I just found.

Confirming the Dec. 21, 2012 date for the start of the Great tribulation for His arrival three and a half years later on..... do the math, count the days, and you will get the same simple to calculate date.

But then again, every time I start a new thread, it gets deleted and I usually bet banned for posting it.
