It was FBI Special Agent Harry Samit that called Maltbie and Frasca criminals who had criminally blocked his investigation of Moussaoui, in sworn testimony at the trail of Zacarias Moussaoui.

It was further FBI HQ RFU that had blocked FBI Agent Samit’s investigation not the CIA, was there a turf war between the FBI field agents and the FBI HQ? Weren’t they support to be on the same side.

The problem here, is you are providing circumstantial, and frankly "suggestive" evidence only. That might get someone to think "hmmm that is peculiar" but here on this forum, is not going to CONVINCE anyone.

If your goal is convince us that some persons within many of the intelligence agencies were ignorant to the risks, perhaps even negligent in their duties, you might not get much of an argument.

However, to extrapolate from such suggestions to "The FBI and CIA purposely ignored or purposely covered up evidence that would have prevented the 9/11 attacks", is simply ridiculous, and not likely to gain much support on this forum.

Indeed.

Mr. Samit also testified about "the wall" and the valid reasons for not pursuing a FISA warrant vs. a criminal warrant to search Moussaoui's computer and home and such at the time.

It is open to paloalto, if he really wishes to accuse people of purposefully ignoring or covering up evidence (based on 20-20 hindsight, a few sound bites and quote mined sentences, and an inherent inclination to see conspiracies even if none exist) to order and obtain the transcripts of the testimony given by Mr. Samit (and others) at the Moussaoui trial. I'm guessing he won't.

Let me take this one point at a time.

Both the CIA and FBI HQ withheld evidence and material information from an ongoing FBI criminal investigation into the murder of 17 US sailors, the FBI criminal investigation into the Cole bombing. This is the federal crime of obstruction of justice.

Prior post: "You are mistaking an FBI - CIA Turf war and incompetence for evil intent."

But a turf war implies that this was institutionalized and hence that top managers at the CIA directed this withholding of evidence in a federal FBI investigation. This makes all of the top managers at the CIA directly involved in this horrific crime since this withholding of information lead to the murder of almost 3000 people on 9/11.

But CIA CTC manager Cofer Black said at the public Joint Inquiry hearing in October 2002, that it was the job of the CIA to provide information to the FBI, not to withhold information from the FBI.

That statemnt rules out withholding information due to a turf war.

Furthermore it was not only the CIA that had withheld critical information from the FBI Cole bombing investigators, but as I had pointed out in earlier posts the Director of the FBI Louis Freeh himself and the FBI HQ that had also criminally obstructed the FBI Cole bombing investigation.

Was the Director of the FBI and FBI HQ in a turf war with the FBI field agents also?
