Jeffrey Toobin exposes himself on Zoom

He's a philosopher. He's discovered that the font of happiness, or at least pleasure, lies within, not without.

Like the Lotus Sutra of the Buddha, that was the profound truth he was silently conveying to the world in that cryptic, wordless act.

They should give him the Nobel for peace next year. I mean, given the kinds of people that get nominated, seriously, why not him?

Could there be a more embarrassing way to lose a job?

Probably, but still . . .

And, as humorous as the incident is to us - I am now wondering about his future. How will he - handle himself - during this ordeal? I imagine suicide is an option, but I know little about the man, other than this.

If Marv Albert could overcome the pettitcoats.....

He'll find a job, he's handy with tools and has experience working with wood.

He'll pop up again a little way down the track.

Gosh darn it. Guess I have to go to the dark web to see what actually happened. :(

Can't comment without seeing the problem first hand (or would that be second hand?).

I don't get it... what's the big deal?

What kind of a priggish prat sits in on a work video conference fully clothed? Pfft.

Nothing wrong with a little tug the turkey while one is going over the week's workflow charts with one's coworkers.

To almost quote a former president. Erections have consequences.

I plagiarized this but that will not stop me from running for office.

OJ Simpson compares and contrasts Toobin's incident with that of Paul "Peewee Herman" Ruebens.

Jake Tapper from CNN sassed back at OJ telling him to pipe down, presumably coming to the pseudo-defense of his fellow CNN personality, Toobin.

Reubens, Tapper and Toobin are all of the same background, btw.

ETA: Also possibly worth mentioning is that another long time CNN legal analyst, who now seems to be out of favor with the left and with that network, but was once very respected and Toobin treated him as a mentor, if memory serves, Alan Deshowitz - was also accused of gross sexual misconduct with underage girls connected with Jeffrey Epstein.

Epstein and Dershowitz. Just to reiterate.

Funny, you left Donny Trump oof your list. I wonder why.

Those subtle plastic things don't draw attention to the fact you feel the need to hide what you do in front of your computer though...

I think it depends. On a big group call, I doubt think anyone notices anymore. With social distancing fatigue, most people understand about not wanting to be on camera anymore. A lot of people feel like the camera in their home is a bit of an intrusion and keep it off. I've never had anyone object to someone not wanting to be on camera.

I'm on the executive of a group that recently hosted a Zoom meeting. Afterwards, another member of the executive noted that someone had appeared topless (male) in the meeting. Apparently no one else had noted (I had not). After some discussion we decided to do nothing. Most of our group connects with fuzzy images of the top of their head from a smart phone. With screen full of small images it is difficult to recognize people.

I'll be mailing a link for this story to my fellow execs. ;)

:dl:

It does make one wonder if there was a hot coworker he was getting off on.
