It's time for a Ted Cruz thread.

The republicans that run for office this time just don't seem presidential to me. t.

That's not fair. After all, Trump promised to be more presidential if he were elected. (a promise given while sharing the stage with Sheriff Joe Arpaio.)

I suppose he would have to be more presidential because he cannot be less presidential than he is now.

Here's an awesome tweet from unwanTED, boasting about having 59% favorable and 33% unfavorable opinions in a Fox survey. As opposed to as opposed to 55/41 for TheDonald and 44/33 for Kasich.

Those would be reasonable numbers in a national survey, but it's not. It's a survey of Republicans. When 1/3 of party members have unfavorable opinions of the MOST favorable candidate in their party, it's in big trouble.

I really don't believe the story of Cruz having illicit sex with these women. History has shown repeatedly that republican men prefer sex with other men and boys. The dichotomy lies in their vitriol against same sex marriage and homosexuality when they indeed are in the closet themselves. I guess I just don't understand politics....

I was saying that on a different forum.

"Surprisingly for a member of the religious right, this sex scandal seems to involve heterosexual sex".

Won't 'repenting' be sufficient for him to recover from that? I thought that it usually seems to work with that market.

Perhaps many other things as well. No one here has accused Cruz of being a pedophile or suggested he was gay except you.

What I do understand is that if Cruz cheated on his wife it should be more condemning than it would be for other candidates who haven't worn their religious piety on their sleeve.

Cruz and Trump both compete for the scariest presidential candidates ever. If I had to choose between the two it would be Trump because he might be disingenuous. Cruz looks to me to be the real thing.

I don't think cruz iz gay. I think cruz likes power and power over other men is ultimately what satisfies him. He's like a rapist, it's not about the sex, it's about control. So I've moved the goal posts to show my enlightenment. Thanks for your insight!

Gahhh! You're not supposed to admit that! You're gonna break the Internet!

But yeah.

I suspect you really didn't appreciate my insight but I believed your post was homophobic. In addition, Cruz has many, many faults and calling him a pedophile is unnecessary.

I honestly believe he may be religious enough to try and bring the Apocalypse on during his watch. He scares the **** out of me.

If I had to rank the candidates in order of which I would prefer to leave alone with young children, Cruz would most definitely be last on the list.

I don't care what sexual practices are carried out between consenting adults. I do like the irony involved with public officials and their secret lives. It is interesting to me to see these same allegedly devout xtians being caught in their own lies and in betrayal of their avowed xtian beliefs. Is ted cruz a homosexual, pedophile or adulterer? I wouldn't be overly surprised if he checked any of the boxes. Of all the candidates still running I would trust him the least with children going on gut instinct alone. He is also the scariest candidate to me. We will see what surprises the future holds as far as Teds preferences are concerned.

JEB! on the other hand seems like he would be competent, capable and comical in a room full of children. Diapers, bottles and boo-boos wouldn't phase him.

Which would qualify him to POTUS-wrestle with Congress, now that I think about it.

Kasich Goes Negative

A new ad calls out Texas Sen. Ted Cruz for lying, and the spot was produced by a super PAC with ties to Ohio Gov. John Kasich.

The ad, called "Nose," features an image of Cruz while a narrator speaks in the background.

"Many just call him Lyin' Ted," the ad says. As the narrator speaks, Cruz's nose grows so long it wraps around his neck three times.

That is possibly the creepiest ad that I have ever seen!

Apparently, Ted Cruz isn't doing so well in New York. In their Republican Primary, I have the feeling that Ted Cruz will come in third. I could be wrong, though.
