I applaud these Israelis for having the courage to admit to what they had done...and what they were ordered to do. They will be attacked as self-hating Jews, Arab-lovers, Judenrat, traitors, etc.

But the only thing they have exposed is an ounce of humanity, and they will be judged by real human beings and by God as honest and true.

If the groups were under my command, neither of the described would have happened - the woman would have been escorted and the sniper notified prior and with verification. My unit would not be looking to kill anyone not fighting or obviously armed. And I suspect and hope these were very rare mistakes.

On Channel 4 news just now, Mark Regev said the woman and children in the first story weren't killed.

“There was a house with a family inside …. We put them in a room. Later we left the house and another platoon entered it, and a few days after that there was an order to release the family.

The soldier telling that story is relating what he heard. His squad had left and another platoon had occupied the house.

That said, Regev has been wrong before. And I can't find anything online. The investigation has just started.

On the contrary, if you are STUPID enough to actually consider believing that the 19 hijackers did not do 9-11, then your brain does not function correctly, and your ability to make sound judgements and observations, especially when it comes to politically sensitive issues that you CLEARLY have strong opinions over, is seriously in question.

The UN should know better then to send highly partial and politically opinionated individuals into Gaza. I would not send a hard-core Sinn Fein supporter to look into Northern Ireland, or a Hindu nationalist to look into Kashmir.

The UN has screwed up. They should send someone else, someone actually impartial and unbiased, to look into the situation. Israel actually does have a reason to disregard this guy.

To be a Truther, you have to cherry-pick data and ignore information that doesn't conform to your preconceived conclusion. This does not make for a good investigation or investigator.

An IDF internal investigation and an "independent" investigation by Falk would be equally worthless, IMO.
