“A whole civilization will die tonight” is a clearly genocidal statement with no wiggle room. There is no “oh, he only means the regime” defence here. There is no “military targets only” or “the regime was just using a whole civilization as a human shield so if you think about it it is the regime who is the true war criminal here”.

If he doesn't nuke Iran I will make sure to remember that he managed to convince me that he might just have been mad enough to do it.

FWIW I would say I'm about 90% sure he won't, but I was about 90% sure Putin would not invade Ukraine.
