Are people really going to defend Trump threatening to wipe out an entire civilization of people?

Seriously?

I have a high confidence that just before the market closes there will be a mysterious spike in activity, followed fifteen minutes later by a tweet from Stinky saying that he had a wonderful talk with the Iranian goverment and they're giving him everything he wanted plus a pony, with tears in their eyes, they're saying sir, please sir, America is such a great country, thank you for your attention to these matters. The stock market will climb sharply because this is the dumbest goddamn timeline, making the mystery investors a few more million, a few more business sites will point out how breathtakingly blatant the insider trading is, and everything else will lurch onward, these events repeating themselves for the Epsteinth time.

Like I said, I have no clue. The guy is so ignorant and emotionally immature that nothing, from going to hide under the bed to, yes, ordering the dropping of a nuke, can be entirely ruled out. That's what's so terrifying about putting someone like Trump into a position of such power. What I hope is that he'll chicken out, and make up his usual lies to justify doing so. That really is the best case scenario.

I think the best case scenario is that he dies from natural causes this evening. Quotation marks may or may not apply, it's probably best if nobody finds out which for a long time.

I guess that that is what we have to hope for. That it is yet more greedy war profiteering from this sick and depraved scum bag.

Anyone who supports this has to reckon with the fact that he wipes ever more of his own faeces on the American flag and that the rest of the world is ever more justified in seeing the US as an untrustworthy and despotic nation that will lie and cheat and threaten and exploit.

What is also terrifying is that there are people who will support a head of state, minimise his words and make excuses, when he boasts about destroying a civilisation, or sending a country "back to the Stone Age", or destroying vital civilian infrastructure, in short committing war crimes bordering on genocide. And then said people pretend to hold the moral high ground …

Yes, if he accidentally brutally stabs himself to death while shaving we will just have to deal with JD Vance taking over and swearing not to look too deeply into it. A common or garden ◊◊◊◊◊◊ conservative will seem like a breath of fresh air, for a while.
 
So Iran is threatening to blow up the infrastructure of Kuwait , the Emirates and others in retaliation. It was always said WWIII would start in the Middle East. Trump has the nuclear codes. He doesn't need approval of Congress. He's going down and he's going to take everyone down with him rather than admit he's lost control of the war he illegally started.

Not at all. Threatening to perform war crimes and genocide is enough to make him unfit, whether he finally does or doesn't do it.
 
I find it interesting how minor armed groups claiming they want the state of Israel gone without any chance of actually doing so are the evil archenemy that must be fought at all costs and no atrocity is too much to accomplish this and nothing Israel has done should ever be scrutinized or criticized.
But when the one controlling the largest army in the world with access to stores of nuclear weapons, who has already shown to be willing to attack nations without provocation, says the same about Iran we suddenly should not be too critical. And he's probably just negotiating. And well, Iran did bad things too.

The double measurements in the Middle East are quite far apart.
