This thread is about Islam. People who have left a Muslim majority country to move to a christian country are unlikely to be practicing muslims. They are not going to be representative of Muslims. It may say something about the consequences to the population of years of poverty enforced and war waged on a country by foreign powers. It is like saying that Americans who move to Thailand or Vietnam because they are paedophiles represent Christians.

Yeah, and I've already pointed out in my mock post that every argument against Islam in this thread could just as easily be levied against white people, so.
Also this kind of BS is detrimental to actual useful discourse about immigration and integration, and actual issues to do with these things. When everything gets reduced by bigots to a question of 'are all Muslims horrible people who will blow you up and eat your cats and dogs?', it distracts from actually useful and discussions, and also has a chill effect because people who want to discuss these issues don't dare do so because the don't want to be associated with the racists who scream the loudest. But then again, when has the far-right not been shooting itself in the foot.

Do you imagine that when a person from one country/culture/belief goes to another that they'd naturally discard that culture/belief and adopt the culture/belief of the new country?
