He was only in transit in Amsterdam.Did the man depart the Netherlands, wherein their well aware of the attacks on America by radical Muslims!? (Yes)
Would anyone in Amsterdam have even looked at his ticket? He could well have received his boarding pass for that flight in Nigeria.Did his departure ticket declare he was bound for the U.S. (Detroit)!?
That would have been apparent in the airport where he (should have) checked in his luggage. But when you're in transit it's quite common not to carry any.No luggage
Not true, apparently.a one way ticket
They do have a heated terminal building at the airport in Detroit, don't they? And isn't it possible to leave the airport using some means of transportation which wouldn't leave you exposed to the bitter Michigan winter?and no coat so as to withstand the bitter Michigan winter!
In any case - he was just in transit in Amsterdam, so why would anyone take any notice of his coat or lack thereof?
So? What possible difference should that make to have passengers in transit are treated at the airport? For all practical purposes those people aren't even in the country.Has Amsterdam (Netherlands) been the target of Muslim terrorist attacks!? YES!
Surely any airport in any country in which you can check in for a flight to or from a country which is a potential target for terror (so a pretty long list) would require the same level of security.
And in any case - what is it you want them to do? Anyone travelling one way or without a coat must be strip searched?
