Is Islam an evil religion?

The Muslim community here in Birmingham seems to be doing rather well. They even have an annual tradition of holding an Open House during Ramadan, for the express purpose of having non-Muslims visit and ask question, even tough questions about women in Muslim societies.

And this means somethig to you how?

I am sure you can find places in the world where Scientologist are cute, adorable little fuzz balls of love, togetherness and help and good intentions.

The Mormons are freaking wonderful!! A missionarly will help you with yard work and not expect any pay. Just forget that they spent 3 million dollars on an ad campaign to take rights away from gays in California.

Remember, kids! When talking about Islam, it's totally fallacious and illegitimate to bring up what other religions do in comparison! Unless you're Bill, then it's OK!

But if you want to have faith that she wants, you will dismiss the Hadaths that says she was 9 and you will embrace the ones that kind of says she was not. That is how faiths work, that is not how science and logic works.

So, when Hadiths disagree with each other, who gets to decide on behalf of every Muslim on the planet? Why, Bill Thompson. Or whoever you use as a source.

That's not very logical.

(No, I've not read your huge cut and pastes. You've already admitted the existence of contradictory hadith. You do not get to choose what other people believe, nor how people interpret ancient texts nor which they should give the most weight to. They can speak for themselves.)

This what is the point I don't get it stuff is simply a crude tactic to cover up your inability to answer clear observations made to you, and I refuse to let you conceal yourself behind this smelly smokescreen.

You can't possibly believe that a reference to Bosniak Muslims is irrelevant to this discussion, as you yourself keep raving on about the misdeeds of Nigerian and other Muslims.

Come off it! We're not being fooled. Although I admit your statement "I don't understand" is in itself by no means incredible.

In fact, here is a documentary about a particular group of scientologists: Free Zoners
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=URg_PDFxnDc

I don't think they're evil, nor are they following an evil faith.

Enjoy, Bill.
No need to thank me.

Smelly smokescreen? What do you think I am trying to hide or what do you think my motivation is? You don't come out and say it. You merely hint at it here and there. Are you shy? Out with it, man!! What do you think I am trying to "fool you" into thinking? And what is my smokescreen hiding?

That is one question. Here is another. Apart from some strange personal attack to me. What is your point in mentioning historic events that I guess we can both agree are true. What is your point in that? Here, let me give you an example:

Fact 1 ____

Fact 2 ____

Fact 3 ___
And this means ____ ___ ___ ___

Right, so you made some clear and obvious observatons. Great. We both agree to that. Now what the hell do they mean to you? Are they just a bunch of random facts that point no where?

Wait there is more.

You mentioned some horrable events in history and I asked you if you thought that it was motivate by religion or by politics or a fight over land. I might be wrong but I think you avoided that question. Hummmm.... Are you playing the game other play here where if you do not like the question because of the possible answer, you decide to suggest I am hiding somethig or a bad guy or something? That is a serious queston. Not rhetorical. Let me guess, now you are going to suggest I am promoting some wacky religon. I think someone here tried to say I was part of a cult once here. That won't work and it shows you are using the ad hominem logicall fallacy and you loose, man.

If you don't know what I'm getting at, it is this. Here are selections from your FaithFreedom Ali Sina whose collection of material you cite so copiously, which I noted nearly 10 years ago. This equates all Muslims with terrorism, and demands their expulsion. It is hate speech. The full text is at http://www.faithfreedom.org/oped/sina60901.htm :

While I'm disgusted with the quotes you selected, and other statements made by Sina, I did laugh at the opening line:
"This interview never happened, but I wished that it had. So I interviewed myself."

Fjordman, the mass murderer Blevik's main inspiration, is well represented in articles published by Bill's favouritte hate speech source. See http://www.faithfreedom.org/Author/Fjordman.htm for Fjordman's stuff. The material on immigration perhaps explains why Bleivik's got so riled up.

By the way, Dawkins in his The God Delusion lists FaithFreedom as a useful site. More fool him. He later had the decency to remove the link to it from his website. Ken Humphreys of Jesus Never Existed links to it as well. Several years ago I remonstrated with him about this by email, but to no avail. Since Blevik's atrocity, I hope he's ashamed of himself.

But Bill made it clear he does not want a real war against Islam, unlike what Breivik wants.
especially when you consider that Breivik used a religon that is also in conflict with human rights. Christianity.

No it is not. Do you want a new question? You cannot or will not answer the previous ones. Here it is. Can you tell the difference between fact and supposition? Because somehow indirectly there is a web site tht I looked at once that you define as hateful, this is my favorite web site? Is that fact or supposition?

You are so funny. You are really cute. I mean it.

I told you twice that I only quoted from the forum on that site written by an average joe just like you and me. It is not from an op-ed piece like you have suggested three times now, and I have told you twice.

Now I have told you a third time.

And look, everybody, he still avoids my questions.

Classic.

You are very entertaining. What will you come up with next?

Hey, did you know that if someone is against the church of scientolgy , they are a "religious bigot"
Do did you know of someone is agaist the mormon church, they are "anti-mormon"
and I guess what I am learning here is that if someone does not like islam they are magically a "biblical fundamentalst or some other form of right wing nut job"

This is what I can only guess what Craig is hinting at. But he does not have the courage to come out and admit it because part of him wonders if he is wrong.

Now, am I going to have to ask the questions again that you are avoiding but only hinting at answers?

You are not really tralking about anything at all, I have to conclude. You are only just hinting at personally insulting me by stating things that are not true.

I did not quote from the op-ed part of that web site. Now that makes four times I have told you and yet you continue to ignore that and keep thinking that I did.

Right. But don't let facts stop him. Let's see what more baseless personal attacks he comes up with next.

I keep correcting his errors and he keeps ignoring them because the facts are not entertaining enough for him.

I did not quote from the op-ed part of that web site. There is a forum and the quotes there actually linked to other sites. Some, in fact were from Mormon Apolgists. Now that makes SIX TIMES. I have stated this.

But he is spinning off on an illogical tail spin. All we can do is watch him crash. And a mind is like a parachute. It only works when it is open. Sad. He does not even have a parashute to help him if he bails out of his flaming ride of absurdity.

I think I get it. Craig thinks that being against Islam means being against Muslims. That does not make any sense. If I am against cancer, that does not mean I am against cancer victims.

Craig does not make any sense. I think he has convinced himself of a lie and I think he will ignore this post too and continue with his nonsense. Just watch.

Yes, the same way all those fundamentalist Christian homophobes go to great paints to say they're not against individual gay people at all, they're just against homosexuality.

But surely BIll argees to also have his kind of War against Christianity , as it is by his definition also evil.

Nice.

But you avoided my queston. So I ask again. What does that mean to you?

I never said it was not fair to bring up another religion. Ah, a fresh misquote! Yummm! The difference is that I have a point that I am willing to explain. How long did it take for you get to a point when you kept saying "christianity is bad too" over and over again?

I have a point to make by comparing Islam to Mormonism. And heeerreee it is:

It is a terrific gift that we have the ability to have both Mormonism and Islam on this earth. Here is why (see, I am getting to my point, that is what you are supposed to do) My Mormon friends insist it is the only one true religion. My Muslim friends insist that it is the one true religion. My Mormon friends have told me that "people have tried for decades to find a mistake in the book of Mormon and they have failed". My Muslim friends would say that "people have tried for centuries to find an error in the quran and have failed"

Both cannot be the one true religion. That does not make any sense. So there are only two possible options
  1. One is the one true religion and the other is a lie
  2. They are both lies.
Now if one is the one true religion, which one and why? I guarantee you that the reasons you pick one of them can be easily applied to the other.

So which of the two is the answer and why. Pick.

Now, if they are both lies, it is not ethical to have our fellow brothers and sister participate in a lie... especially one that times up so much of your short life and mind while you walk on this Earth.

And, by the way, the worst of that bunch is (drum roll) (wait for it....wait for it....wait for it....) THE MORMONS !!!
