I'm not a Democrat. There is much about Democrats and liberals I despise.
Welcome to centrism !!
I'm not a Democrat. There is much about Democrats and liberals I despise.
BTW: This attitude of single issue politics is probably more instrumental in the atrocities carried out in America than anything else. I can't think of anything more ignorant or fatuous than to find an issue and base your decision on that single issue. Elementary school children have that kind of decision making process.
Well, then, since both Republicans and Democrats are responsible, I presume you will annul your vote ?
No it just means I won't vote for Lindsey Graham or Hillary Clinton....
Then who ? They're all pricks, right ?
Not sure where you get that from.
What should he have done differently?
Well, I am certainly not going to vote for anyone who fed lies to Judith miller!
Hillary voted for it, and bush relied on her husband's intelligence and signed the regime change act.
My rule is I don't vote for anyone who voted for the Iraq war. Will you join me on that?
I am just curious ...
Does your voting conviction mean that you voted for Obama twice since Obama voted against the Iraq War Resolution?
No he didn't....
I didn't vote for McCain tho.
Thanks for the response, but your response does not answer my question. However, if you do not want to say who you did vote for, then just say so.
As for me, I did vote for Obama as President, in both of his national elections.
Can everyone agree Iraq would be better off today had we left Saddam in power?
Would ISIS exist?
"it is a TRICK question."

Are you kidding me? Hell yea I find them credible. Of course I find them credible. My opinion back then was one of ideology. My opinion today is based on the fact that their stories align with reality. Not that yellow cake BS or the Condi Rice lies, Cheney lies, Colin Powell lies (I don't know if it was willful).
Last time I had to declare my party loyalty, it was to vote in the Virginia primary for President of the United States in the year 2000. And I asked for a Republican ballot.
Many, if not most, wars were mistakes in retrospect. WWI, the Korean War, Vietnam were all mistakes. One can argue that WWII resulted from the grievous mistakes of the Treaty of Versaisses. And yes, Iraq was a mistake.
However at the time I thought that the WMD intelligence and the behaviour of Saddam justified action.
I would love to see the alternative history that would have played out if Obama's first inaugural speech had included...
"In my campaign, I repeatedly pointed out that the War in Iraq was a mistake based on faulty intelligence. There's a saying: "If you find yourself in a hole, the first thing you do is stop digging". I can't go back in time and prevent past mistakes from being made. But what I can do is prevent their repercussions from projecting into the future."
"As such, I am announcing the immediate cessation of all combat missions in Iraq. Our men and women have performed admirably, but they are tired, and I want them home. Enough blood has been spilled over past mistakes. My team has worked with Generals in the field to formulate a plan to withdraw all American troops from Iraq in as expeditious a manner as feasible. That withdrawal will be orderly, and our troops will at all times be prepared to defend themselves, but withdraw we shall. And that withdrawal period will be measured in months, not years."
"Iraq is a sovereign nation, and it's people will either have to rise to the occasion to maintain order, or descend into internecine civil war and strife. It is their country, their fate and their choice."
"And may God be with them."
Like I said, I have no idea what the state of the world would be now after a precipitous withdrawal begun in January 2009. Might be better or worse than the current situation. Sure am curious about it, though.
