I know I would find this out if I went to an Apple store, but if I purchased a 3G version, it also works with my home wifi right?
Thanks, because I have a good home wireless system which all the kids use with their laptops, and which I would use if I purchased an ipad, but would also probably purchase a low-level plan to use when away from home.Yes.
Interestingly a relative said the other day that she thought the iPad looked really good and was wondering if she should get one. Sadly had to tell her no. And the reason for that is that she does not have a computer or even an internet connection, from all the reports on TV and the advertisements she thought that the iPad was a "real computer" (to use her words) not just an "add on".
Apple are not going to be pleased, first the new iPhone is leaked and now the iPad with "multitasking" OS has been leaked:

I was listening to a radio show where the DJ was talking up his iPad and how much he loved it and how it was so intuitive and easy to use that it is the only computer many casual users would ever need.
And I just felt like screaming at the radio..."But how are they going to set it up without a real computer and iTunes!"
Wait, there's no way to have the iPad set up to run without an iTunes sync? Seriously?
Remember seeing that on OCAU a while ago now, runs win95 like a stuck pig but the fact they've got it to run at all is nothing short of astonishing.
I must say I'm horribly tempted to get a 3g ipad, but as I have a great laptop and bitching desktop/htpc setup I'm unsure about where I'd use it and why...
How appropriate that it's frozen on the startup screen, just as we fondly recall Win '95.Apple are not going to be pleased, first the new iPhone is leaked and now the iPad with "multitasking" OS has been leaked:
I gots an iPad2 yesterday!
It connected to our home wifi upon setup, while connected to my PC, without needing the password.
How will it connect to other wifis? Automatically, or do I need to find the settings somewhere? I know I'll need to enter other passwords if necessary, but will the iPad prompt me for them automatically?
