Here are some tips for resistance a friend posted elsewhere:


Protect your neighbors, friends, co-workers, or anybody else who might be deported. Give no information to ICE. Demand a judicial, not administrative, warrant before allowing ICE to enter your workplace, classroom or home.

Order or print "red cards" ( https://www.ilrc.org/red-cards-tarjetas-rojas ) and leave a supply in areas where they might be of help or interest to immigrants (bodegas, community centers, etc.)

Contact your representatives to oppose these activities, and keep contacting them, even if you think they won't listen. If enough people complain, they will listen.

Don't get overwhelmed or discouraged. Demoralization is part of the strategy, so don't let it happen to you.

Yes - this. We'll see more and more of this - some violence. In the next few years it will be come apparent/acknowledged that the states are anything but United and that the differences in culture are too great to overcome - my earlier prediction here.

It will not be the pitchfork version at the village level. We can count on a breakdown of many federal functions. So the states will become countries sharing a currency and a small army at the borders. No aircraft carriers and just a few coastal subs.

You've been captured by the cargo cult. The Ghandis and the Kings would be in jail, having linked arms in front of a sanctuary for illegal immigrants, in the face of armed federal agents.

But you see a couple dozen photos of a crowd of people milling around, waving signs, and you think, these people have power. These people are taking action. These people are going to make a change.

I suspect youd then be complaining about the rule of law and doing things through legal, official channels. Or about the lack of peaceful processes.
