Welcome to the Wonderful World of Banana Republic Politics....

Aye, aye, no more should be expected of them, I agree

Still, with so many people rabbidly supporting such a government, spreading the word seems the least one can do :)

It'll take another month.

Imagine the constitutional crisis if the result is found to be incorrect and Caprilles is the winner.

McHrozni

I'd be shocked to hell if a different result was announced, no matter what the result of the recount.

You learned something new today, then. My good deed for today is complete.

I'm still waiting for your comment, or link to comment, on Lula's blatant involvement in Venezuelan internal affairs. You claimed earlier that you did, in fact, say something on it. Where is it?

McHrozni

Unless you are Venezuelan citizen, whether Venezuela` s politics is corrupted or not it is not your damn business, but it is business of the Venezuelan people who have voted for Chavez first and Maduro now.
Respect, dude, respect..
Respect is for those who have earned it. Chavez has earned nothing but ridicule and scorn.

Too bad for you Venezuela can't ban or sanction this forum like they can to their own newspapers and television and other media that dares disagree or criticize the party line.

Respect is for those who have earned it. Chavez has earned nothing but ridicule and scorn.

Ridicule and scorn from you and some right-wingers in the US and the West, maybe.
Happily enough, Venezuelan people have decided to pursue their own path and voted again for Maduro, successor of Chavez.
Believe me, they are not caring much about what some right-wingers` opinions are, and they are damn right, IMHO.

You should read what other people write instead of keep going ahead with your monothematic rant. I have not much else to add.

Ridicule and scorn from anyone who values a free press, a free news media, freedom of association and assembly, and property rights as well as anyone with a basic understanding of economics.

In other words, you were lying and don't see a reason to condemn Lula's interference in Venezuelan internal affairs. So much for consistency, you only see a problem if it is percieved to hurt your side. Hypocrite.

Just read the opening of the second article: "Fraud still haunting Venezuela election".
I see..

You based an in-deph analysis of four articles solely on one sentence, which only appears in one article, and only that because it's a title of a related video? Furthermore, the very same video also shows pretty compelling circumstantial evidence of fraud.

A very deep analysis indeed.

And your very best retort is a pathetic attempt to divert attention? :)

Maduro, the winner, agreed to an investigation, the courts said no, then the courts reversed their decision.

Actually the whole thing is a bit more complex. The CNE agreed to an "audit", without specifying what it is, but it was explicit that it is "not a recount". It also stated it "will not affect the outcome", so most of us are now wondering just what are going to do and how will it give them credibility. The only thing I can see is that it's sand in everyones' eyes.

That said, the opposition documented and reported literarily thousands of very severe problems with the elections, including usage of public funds for campaign. That alone is enough to void the election, regardless of votes cast. Not surprisingly, the CNE hasn't even commented on it. In a civilized country the violator (in this case Maduro) would also be charged and face a lengthy jail sentence. In Venezuela, new ministers are calling for the injured party (Caprilles) to be jailed for poorly or undefined charges.

In such situation the number of ballots in a box becomes quite irrelevant.

I'm not sure what egregiancies happened or what your evidence is for voting fraud. Please cite it.

To make a long story short: the Venezuelans voted for the leader they liked and this leader does not happen to be liked by (some, most) US people.
Hence the allegations of voting fraud.
But who cares in the world about what the Americans think anymore?

IBut you are not a Venezuelan citizen, so you do not vote in Venezuela.
Respect the Venezuelan people will dude, respect..

How many do you personally know? How many Venezuelan colleagues or friends do you have?

I guarantee most people in USA do not even know who he is. Another fail.

Caprilles went ahead and called CNE out to demonstrate the election was valid. He's asking for voter roll and documentation that would prove or disprove the election was stolen. If CNE doesn't deliver the only rational explanation is a stolen election.

Yay :)

You'd be advised to take some english classes. A documented case is not a bare assertion. I'm not sure if you know this and are just trolling, or simply trying to divert attention away for some sort of political or financial gain. Your behaviour is exactly as I'd suspect of a Venezuelan government shill.

McHrozni

a documented case of what exactly? he claims to have spotted irregularities. We do not know if those accusations are true or not. The Audit might show those irregularities. well Capriles thinks the audit would detect the irrregularities.

oh and offcourse like a real Conspiracy theorist the usual accusation of shill....
LOL

Voter intimidiation, irregularities in witnessing process, locking out opposition witnesses for a period of time for unknown reasons, errors in voter identification, unreasonable "assisted voting", death threats to opposition witnesses, dead people voting, people who are allowed to vote being denied the right. None of these would actually show in a mere recount of the ballots, but only by making the voting process transperent. These were pointed out before. Thus far not a word from CNE.

Beyond that there were massive and unconstitutional irregularities in the campaign. Abuse of public power and funds are just the most severe. Those are, by themselves, more than enough to void the election and land someone like Maduro and his henchmen in jail - but only in a democratic, lawful society. Venezuela isn't one, obviously.

It's the only reason I can think of for defending Maduro and his henchmen. It's certainly true for a vast majority of his voters, who depend on government "handouts".

I'm having trouble believing someone could honestly make remarks as stupid as you. Sorry if I offended you if I considered an option that would mark you as intelligent.

McHrozni

oh well Caprilles thinks the irregularities would show up in the audit.
and sofar i have seen no evidence of those accusations.
and you think those accusations alone are enough to jail someone? LOL.
yeah i also had a time when i thought the accuations are enough to jail Cheney and co. just keep an open mind, one day you might find back to rationality.

no you do not offend me, i was a conspiracy theorist myself for a while, i know what you are going through :)
