How'd they make that flag...

So get yourself a 3' X 5' flag, & a flagpole and rod like the astronauts used. Set it up in your backyard, and see if you can get your Apollo flag to act like the ones on the moon do.

Bet you can't.

Did I forget to mention that air is a fairly efficient damper of vibration in large area, wimpy materials?:D

I suppose the launch and the splashdown were faked as well? Go rent a sci-fi movie made in the same era as the moon landing. If Hollywood couldn't make a convincing space movie at the time, what chance did the government have of making something that didn't look *completely* faked?
But don't you see, Hollywood was paid off by the government to use cheesy special effects to make the moon landing look more believable.

[...oh, screw it. I can't possibly keep this one going. I'm no Bart Sibrel, and I do believe we went to the moon. Just rattling cages, folks.

Some replies were great examples of why the "moon-landing-was-a-hoax"ers are sort of unfathomable. Some were great examples of sarcasm and flaming.

Sorry to upset the cart. [/B]

SLAP!

DON'T DO THAT AGAIN!
:D :D :D

Of course, I'm not recomending this for the people who are taking the time to respond.. ( the education part ... ) As usual you are going way beyond the call of duty to try to help someone, in case they are really looking for answers and not just trolling.

I agree and screw the trolls and thier eWanking, I love these threads because intelligent and educated folk share the real science behind cool stuff like flying to the moon.

Thanks for the good replies!

Rats, and that before I got to explain I have met and talked with two of the people who were there, thanks to various business affairs. :p :p :p

more moon fun

Apparantly Fox's photographic experts were baffled by these pictures taken on the moon.

David Percy, an Associate of the Royal Photographic Society, told FOX: "Our research suggests that images of the Apollo landings are not a true and accurate record. In our view the Apollo pictures were faked. Many of the images are replete with inconsistencies and anomalies."

An astronaut decends a ladder into the shadow of the LEM, yet he is illuminated. How can this be?

Here is an astronaut on the moon with the sun directly behind him. We can see all the details of his suit, he is not a silhouetted figure as would be expected. How can this be?

Here the shadow of the LEM is being cast east-west, the rocks in the foreground cast a shadow in a different direction. Why?

If you are familiar with Plait's and Goddard's work, hold off please on responding and give people time to ponder why.
