Remove all air from the room, so it is in a vaccuum. .....
What! You actually need to breathe? We here in Roswell have been living in a vacuum so long, I guess we forgot about the rest of the worldPygmyPlaidGiraffe said:
I am unable to do this part of the precedure successfully.
I tried using an industrial shop vacuum to remove the air but I quickly suspected that the air being expelled was being replaced.
I put duct tape all over the place to cover the gaps. At one time I came very close I think, as I passed out, fell on the shop vac, and fortunately happened to hit the off switch (close call).
I will have to save up for the SCUBA gear.
Although plenty of hot air here on Earth, apparently. No Answers said:I remain unconvinced that we ever went to the moon. It could easily have been faked, and the US had enormous motives for faking it. Probably it will be achieved someday though.
PS there's no wind on the moon.
Not 800 lbs of moonrock, apparently.garys_2k said:You remain unconvinced, even though earth-bound astronomers routinely bounce lasers off the cubical ranging reflectors the Apollo astrounauts left up there? Gee, what WOULD it take to convince you?![]()

No Answers said:Well, jump on, one and all. I simply stated my opinion. Is anyone willing to agree that it might have been faked?
Anyone skeptical of my opinion should be willing to apply the same skepticism to the notion that man went to the moon.

I thought the evidence that I provided from the Bad Astronomer web page was pretty convincing. What do you say?

Nope.. Not with the technology that was available at the time..

That wasn't rattling cages, that was trolling. And low-grade trolling at that.No Answers said:You did read what I wrote about rattling cages, right?

Yes, but it was not done for the human standpoint or the scientific standpoint. It was purely political…had to beat the commies!PixyMisa said:On a purely technical or scientific basis, there wasn't much point sending men to the moon at that time. From a human standpoint, though, it was way cool.
Also a worthwhile goal.no one in particular said:Yes, but it was not done for the human standpoint or the scientific standpoint. It was purely political…had to beat the commies!
I certainly agree.PixyMisa said:Also a worthwhile goal.
