How WTC 7 was pulled down

Below is a link to a quick 'n dirty 'repeating' video (x8) of approximately the first 5 seconds of the WTC 7 collapse.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CqSriVVgBhQ

It is taken from a rare FOIA NIST video of the collapse that included some low level audio on the left channel.

Here is the video display of the related audio waveform;

911wtc7explosionofpenth.jpg

It required an extensive increase in gain and the audio was equalized to boost the low frequencies and
reduce the shrill surround sounds.

By repeating the same segment, the ear can easily pick up the explosion sound where it occurs,
approximately 2 seconds in.

The original YouTube link is here;

Lawyer, James Gourley, the founder of the International Center for 9/11 Studies
and the man who acquired the 5 terrabytes of video from the NIST after filing an FOIA and being forced to also followup with the threat of a law suit, refers to the rare recording of the WTC 7 explosion in this YouTube video interview;

Why no Y axis on your graph? Its meaningless without one.
Try again.....

and I'm curious, what do you think a major structural failing in a 47 story building would sound like? A loudish bang perhaps:D

Why go through all that trouble when every single CD that has even been done with explosives, the booms can be heard VERY CLEARLY?!?!

It's assinine.

Can you rule out the following things as the sources for explosions?

HVAC equipment, including compressors, condensors, and refrigerant lines?
Toner cartridges in copiers?
Large motors from elevators and other HVAC uses?
CRT monitors?
Water heaters?
UPS systems?
Transformers?

Can you rule out each and every one of these things?

All of these things (plus many more) would make a very loud boom in a fire.

Can you conclusively rule them out?

Do you still not understand how LOUD 140 db's is?

Translation: heard as far away as HOBOKEN!!

Your appeal to mass denial noted and very much predictable.

The distinctive detonation can be heard, just, and matches well with the timing of the WTC 7 East Penthouse collapse initiation.

If anything, this again illustrates how recordings often fail to clearly pickup the sound of loud events.

From eyewitness testimony, as well as NIST's own collapse hypothesis, we know there should have been a great many loud sounds generated in WTC 7 over the day.

We also know that very few of them produced a good recording.

WHy wasn't this "loud event" which supposedly caused the collapse of the building, picked up on any of the seismic sensors anywhere near NYC?

Why do you not understand db's?

Well thats it Im done, MM thinks explosives intense enough to fling steel around are quiet. I cant keep saying the same thing over and over again, it just pisses me off.

Why do you not understand db's?"

Because seismic sensors record significant ground vibrations.

The event in question, lead to the collapse of the East Penthouse which is not the same as the collapse of the whole WTC 7 now is it?

Your use of the word "supposedly" was well chosen.

I quite understand the exponential nature of decibels.

Was that why you didn't put an X scale on your waveforms?

This is more about the WTC Twin Towers than specifically WTC7 but I will reply.

Regarding your stated incomprehension above, I have never said anything of the sort, but apparently you are filtering out what I say because your brain is too occupied assuming it already knows what I am saying?

It is hard to hear if you refuse to listen.

Let me get my crayons out make it nice and simple for you;

Explosions, depending on their magnitude make a very loud noise.

Heavy, multi-ton structural steel columns being ripped free, also make a very loud noise.

It is a fact that heavy, multi-ton structural steel columns were ripped free, and therefore, it must be a fact that a loud noise must have been created, with each and every occurrence.

It comes down to your unproven expectations.

You apparently don't expect anyone to hear, or any recording to display, the sound of whatever force was behind those heavy, multi-ton structural steel columns being ripped free and tossed hundreds of feet as each tower collapsed, unless it was caused by internal explosions.

The sound of any other possible force causing this, you believe would not be near as loud.

So it comes down to more or less incredulity.

Some people hear explosions while others hear pan-caking floors.

We have no shortage of eyewitnesses claiming they heard explosions. Because of the cacophony of sound, we do have a shortage of sound recordings that clearly display the sounds of explosions.

The towers were twofold collapses starting with the forced collapse of the small tower (each upper section) onto the larger tower below which was then had its collapse initiated with the cacophony of noise from the upper section collapse effectively masking the initial explosions.

You proved no explosives with a video, the guy was talking louder than the no explosive sound of a building collapsing, you think that helped the building collapse? You are becoming the accidental debunker and you think you are supporting your delusions of cd. What sound does themite make? You are funny, supporting thermite in one thread and explosives in another, debunking your thermite, and your explosives with ease.

Did you say the building collapsing masked the sounds of explosions? ?

That's funny MM, why didn't anyone across the Hudson River hear any of these explosions? They were 1/2 a mile away for a CD to be heard, why didn't they hear them??

Which comes first, the cart or the horse? How can the noise of the "explosion" be masked by the noise of the collapse caused by that explosion?????:confused:

They were screen captures of a an audio waveform display that does not provide db amplitude data on a Y-axis.

The value in that image is visual. It shows the relative differences in the amplitude over time, and was not intended to convey empirical data of measured sound intensity.
