How were WTC core columns separated at the weld planes?

Max there is no way in hell you can detect something as thin as a pencil in that heavily compressed video. The pixels are too big.

It seems more like a case of wishfull thinking/pareidolia on your part.

Wait a second, the three or so flashes dropping between two perimeter columns are supposed to be thermite shock tube? Well am I the only one who's asking why it is in discrete stages and why it's white instead of yellow? I mean we're talking small quantities of thermite here but that doesn't change the fact that this would produce molten iron which would quickly vapourise the surrounding plastic?

Moreover, Max, how were those lasers Aimed? No way you could do a test shot! Aligning a device like this takes many, many test shots, and that is when the target is always in the same position at the time of firing.

You know Ben, if you take this video, and use Virtualdub (excellent freeware) to either view the video frame-by-frame, OR, break the video into its image sequence, you can see for yourself - if you follow the thermite-dusted shock-tube flashes:
  • The actual shock-tube;
  • The shock-tube intersecting spandrel splices (as predicted);
  • The shock-tube intersecting column splice 2/3 up the window (as predicted);
  • Branching of more shock-tube from some splices (as predicted).
Obviously, this presumes you clearly understand the splice patterns.

Now this is the Max Wow part!

(Are you guys listening?)

You can actually locate shock-tube in the above video, and then find the same shock-tube in the NIST NCSTAR 1-5A/9/C photos.

Ben, please read that last sentence 1000 times.

What's the problem? You just have Mr. Sulu lock lasers and fire. If they miss, you always have the Max Photon Torpedos to fall back on.

How beautiful life is.

I suggest everyone read NIST NCSTAR 1-5A/9/C - twice, and then watch BillyRay's video 10 times.

NCSTAR 1-5A/9/C describes what your are looking at.

The report describes:
  • Heavy smoke releases
  • Smoke puffs
  • Pressure pulses
  • Metal fires
  • Metal flows
  • White glows
  • Flaring fires
  • Ejected debris

All these phenomena are right there in front of you in this video.

You are looking directly at the MAX-MIHOP collapse initiation mechanism unfolding.

That's all great, but I'd rather not wade too deep into the crazy. Let's just stick to the flashes. Where did they go in the ABC video?

Photon X NIST = WTF

Well, if we only address WTC2's perimeter box columns for the moment, I'd guess - from reading NIST NCSTAR 1-5A/9/C - that thermite was planted in a four or five floor band, at the impact floors, around the south, east, and north faces.

You guessed wrong.

I'm so hungry, I could compress a horse.

That's all great, but I'd rather not wade too deep into the crazy. Let's just stick to the flashes. Where did they go in the ABC video?

NOW is when one invokes "compression," as in, "consumed by..."

And distance (that's a reeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaalllllllllllllllllllyyyyy long lens.

That's a WESCAM Porn-King 2000icu in fact.

By the way, note the lack of a tripod (as in the other video that you so...mock).

No tripod means - motion - which creates - as you said - cmprssn rtfcts.

Well, one could use a low(er) powered HeNe laser shooting down the same beam path as the "shock tube ignition laser" for alignment purposes. It would give you a small red spot on the target that wouldn't be powerful enough to ignite the shock tube. You know, sorta like the ones you can mount on handguns and rifles.

Do you see any problem with this method?

Aligning a device like this takes many, many test shots,

and that is when the target is always in the same position at the time of firing.
Totally agree. Two swaying buildings would make alignment rather difficult, unless Max is talking about a really large beam diameter, (which will reduce the watts/cm squared delivered on target).

Well, for crude alignment you could use the HeNe laser, yes, and if you did it quickly enough you might be able to make this visually imperceptible, but the path of the beam might not be exactly the same at the longer wavelength.

I have heard convection cells in the air are a bigger problem for IR telescopes than visible light ones ones.

Max, focus on spacebeams! That seem - you know - very right.

The NIST Reports say, "NIST found no evidence of controlled-demolition due to explosives..."

MAX-MIHOP says the NIST Reports tell the truth, albeit the ambiguated truth.

If NIST says NO EXPLOSIVES, then there were no explosives.

So this is part of what leads me to look for non-explosive-based controlled-demolition tools and mechanisms.

Here is my list:
  • Improvised thermite (used to create phreato-thermatic explosions)
  • Planted thermite (used to heat-weaken steel splices and connections, and create the illusion of migrating fires)
  • Thermite-dusted shock-tube (used to link and ignite the planted thermite)
  • Lasers (used to ignite the thermite-dusted shock-tube)
(I actually think my list is very clever.)

The above thermite-based controlled-demolition toolkit worked like a charm, and - AND! - NIST is not lying!

NO EXPLOSIVES!

NIST also didn't say NO SPACEBEAMS FROM THE ISS were used, I think we have to leave that option open as well.

Well, I don't imagine too many people are gonna see a relatively small red dot on an upperstory of a skyscraper - but that's a minor detail at this point. Max has bigger things to deal with before we worry about that. :)
but the path of the beam might not be exactly the same at the longer wavelength.
Not sure why the wavelength is an issue with the beam path from a coherent beam. Are you saying that the wavelength can affect how much the beam blooms? Can you explain further, please?

Not sure of the siginificance to the discussion. Please enlighten me.

Please enlighten me.

Well, you are sending the beam through Manhatten air OVER another building.

There WILL be convection cells. If IR is refracted differently than 632 nm light then the HeNe alignment will only be approximate.

And convection is another big problem with hitting the target at all. You might have to have a pilot beam that you use as an artificial star to feed into adaptive optics to get a hit.

Ideally the end of each shock tube would be surrounded by a corner cube array for position sensing.
