How is Donald Trump not a Republican?

They actually do not.
I rather think they do:
"The Republican National Committee is hereby authorized and empowered to fill any and all vacancies which may occur by reason of death, declination, or otherwise of the Republican candidate for President of the United States."
Isn't being a laughing stock and destroying the party's election prospects enough to create a vacancy? Declare him incompetent to act for the part. Expel him for <insert reason here>.

Most experts do not think they can just make up a reason to kick him out. Otherwise would refer to him being in a coma or something.

They should own it. Stop making excuses, and take some accountability.

He's the person they chose to represent them. Chosen as the person they want to lead to country.

There was a lengthy process to pick the person they think is the best to lead them, and they picked Trump.

Yes, let's not forget that they are under no obligation to go with the popular vote.

You know those hookers who when you ask them to tell you a bit about them, they're all like "Who do you want me to be, baby?". Just as long as you pay them, they will play any role, and humilliate you or let you humiliate them, etc etc. Well..... Trump in a nutshell.

How is that piece of trash not representative of the Republican party?

He is so blatantly a republicker he out shines * the normal ones with his cover of putrid decaying sludge covering a heart and mind of pure evil and gluttonous desires.

*Bacteria on decaying skin/other tissue gleams and glistens in the light.

They spent an awful lot of MY tax money on THEIR picking of the 'most representative candidate'. They have no room to complain that they didn't get 'their' money's worth. Party of accountability, my ***.

Then why haven't they de-selected him as a candidate? The RNC has that option.
The problem lies earlier. They shouldn't have accepted him as candidate in the primaries in the first place.

That is how I understand it as well. They can fill a vacancy but they can't create a vacancy.
Oh sure they can. There's a Second Amendment solution for that. :boxedin:

In the same way that Jim Jones

"Within five years of the Temple's move to California, it went through a period of exponential growth and opened branches in cities including San Fernando, San Francisco, and Los Angeles. By the early 1970s, Jones began shifting his focus to major cities because of limited expansion opportunities in Ukiah. He eventually moved the headquarters for the Temple to San Francisco, a major center for radical protest movements at the time. The move led to Jones and the Temple becoming politically influential in San Francisco politics, culminating in the Temple's instrumental role in the mayoral election victory of George Moscone in 1975. Moscone subsequently appointed Jones as the chairman of the San Francisco Housing Authority Commission.[43]

Unlike most supposed cult leaders, Jones was able to gain public support and contact with prominent politicians in the local and national level. For example, Jones and Moscone met privately with vice presidential candidate Walter Mondale on his campaign plane days before the 1976 election, leading Mondale to publicly praise the Temple.[44][45] First Lady Rosalynn Carter also personally met with Jones on multiple occasions; corresponded with him about Cuba; and spoke with him at the grand opening of the San Francisco Democratic Party Headquarters, where Jones garnered louder applause than Mrs. Carter.[44][46][47]

In September 1977, California assemblyman Willie Brown served as master of ceremonies at a large testimonial dinner for Jones attended by Governor Jerry Brown and Lieutenant Governor Mervyn Dymally.[48] At that dinner, Brown touted Jones as "what you should see every day when you look in the mirror in the early morning hours... a combination of Martin King, Angela Davis, Albert Einstein... Chairman Mao".[49] Harvey Milk, who spoke at political rallies at the Temple,[50] wrote to Jones after a visit to the Temple: "Rev Jim, It may take me many a day to come back down from the high that I reach today. I found something dear today. I found a sense of being that makes up for all the hours and energy placed in a fight. I found what you wanted me to find. I shall be back. For I can never leave."[51][52]

Isn't representative of the Democratic party, although he supported Democratic politicians and causes.

I don't recall Jim Jones ever being the Democrat nominee for President. Perhaps you can help my memory?

So what? Who's claiming that he is representative of the Democratic party?

It would be a valid argument if the Democrats chose him as their leader, but they didn't

Republicans *did* choose Trump to represent them, and to lead the nation.

I hope you can see the difference.

He was a local kingmaker that was courted by Democratic politicians and brought right into the fold, and there were already pretty serious questions about what the guy was running and how he ran it.

I understand the difference very clearly.

He's not a Republican in the sense that he shows no loyalty to the issues that define the party.

He is a Republican in the sense that he's registered as one and, more importantly, has been nominated by the party to run for president.

Is this so hard to understand?

Every recent Republican nominee has been charged with similar things. There is no way to make a coherent policy with the campaign snippets the Republicans have been using for the last 20 years so every time someone tries the resulting polices are disjointed and easily torn apart in an election campaign. When they back off them to try and make something coherent that can't be dismantled so easily they are no longer Republican or Conservative enough.

If anything Trump is the real Republican because he doesn't even try, they are all just things he says to get elected but were never intended to be actual policy anyway. This is all Republican "issues" are anyway, Trump is just using them as intended.
