How Great is Our God

There, that's more accurate.

No, I've no "faith" in miracle water. It's a hoax. You don't know that?

Holy water is available in every Catholic Church. Holy water, miracle water -- what's the difference? Are you implying that the Catholic Church is also involved in a Water Scam????

"Pettie" was too smart for Randi. Otherwise he would be in jail. What's wrong with getting a little help from your wife? The Bible says your wife is to be your "helpmate".

Ah. So the REAL killers of JFK are too smart for you?

Otherwise they would be in jail.

Are you implying that the Catholic Church is also involved in a Holy Water Scam???That would border on Anti-Catholic Anti-Christian religious prejudice. Some preachers hear voices from their wives, others hear them directly from God.

Nobody has suggested that, because the Catholic Church does not claim it puts money in your bank account.

Do you have any evidence to support your claims? Other than a guy said it was true?

Miracle and holy water have something in common: They have no properties that normal water does not.

Oh, yes, absolutely! No implication about it, I'll state it categorically.

Water's water. It has no magical properties, and can't be granted magical properties, because magic doesn't exist either.

Yes, the Catholic church is heavily invested in many scams. Transubstantiation--a bit of flour and water turns into actual flesh? That's stupid. It's just flour and water. Wine doesn't turn to blood, either.

I can't understand why so many people are so willing to swallow lies, and swallow them with thanks and a smile. It's really sick and sad. I feel so sorry for people who believe this garbage, and who invite people to use them, take advantage of them, and hurt them so much.

"Pettie" was too smart for Randi.
He got caught, and quite easily too. How's that 'too smart'?

Robert Prey said:

He declared bankruptcy soon after getting caught the first time.

Asking her to help the handicapped members of the audience is 'getting help', what they were doing was a federal crime.

While I'm sure the bible says many things, I am fairly certain it does not say that.

Gen 2:18

And the LORD God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him.

That's a lie. There is no god.

People who "hear voices" they think are not their own are delusional and in need of care.

Absolutely the only voice you'll ever "hear" in your head is your own. Delusions cause you to think the voices have some other source. But they don't. It's always and only just you.

How long have you been on these forums? I ask, because you seem to think you're speaking to people who agree with lies and delusions. While some few might, the majority do not.

Critical thinking is extremely beneficial. You might give it a try sometime. It would do you a lot more good than the myths, lies, frauds, and hoaxes you've been listening to.

ETA: are you unaware what "drink the Kool-Aid" means?

"Drinking the Kool-Aid" is a metaphor commonly used in the United States and Canada that refers to a person or group's unquestioning belief in an ideology, argument, or philosophy without critical examination. The phrase typically carries a negative connotation when applied to an individual or group. The basis of the term is a reference to the November 1978 Jonestown Massacre,[1][2] where members of the Peoples Temple were said to have committed suicide by drinking a "Kool-Aid"-like drink laced with cyanide.[3]

If that's your idea of a nice drink, I think you should reconsider.

Talk about vague and unintuitive... Robert Prey is this what you are using to support your case? Because if you are, I'd recommend you'd abandon it.

The bible also says that people who work on the sabbath should be put to death.

How Great is Our God

I saw Jesus being channeled the other night on cable TV via the Miracle of a special Water -- A Miracle Water. Its' for real. Not a scam. You simply drink it, and it cures disease -- the lame, the blind, cancer, heart disease, diabetes and more. The Miracle Water will also fill bank accounts with money. You drink the water and then watch your bank account grow. It's for real. And the Miracle Water is free, so it can't be a scam. Peter Popoff just wants people to be happy and the ones shown on TV were ecstatic and very sincere. Some got 10, 20 thousand, Some 50 thousand. One lady had her bank account grow to 2.2 million. At first I was suspicious, but then I realized that if this was not for real, this man, the man channeling Jesus, Peter Popoff, would not be allowed on TV. He would be in jail. So it must be for real. Check it out. He's all over cable TV. How Great is Our God.
Does it cure old age? I'll be 65 april 9.

Yea, right.

Wish so does not make it so, I'm afraid. I'm beginning to think the OP might be all too serious with their assertion.

That is very worrying if such people are allowed to vote and breed. I still think he is joking, at least I hope so.

I'm not so sure. The reference to "Kool-Aid" in post #59 suggests to me that the OP is having fun with the skeptics.

At least I hope so........
