How do pagans celebrate Christmas?

Looks like KK and her apostle have been frightened off by the nasty atheists!
Unfortunately, I fear that they will return. They've done this before, as Fowl can attest to, they go away for a month or two, and just about the time you think they've left for good; like a bad case of herpes, they return just when you're about to kiss your date. She looks down and sees that wart sitting there just like a little ugly toad on your lip. She screams in horror and...um..this has gone somewhere that I didn't intend.

So, in short, they'll probably be back.

Hi ASA...no I haven't been frightened off by atheists. I do find it difficult sometimes to respond to some of you guys though...just being honest.
Anyway this Christmas season was especially busy. After celebrating with our family we went to Maui for 10 days. My 23 year old daughter just got hitched and we had about 35 guest there. It was great! Now I guess I better start preparing to become a grandma hun? John and Katrina just got Maui-ed!

It's a miracle, praise FSM. I think you're learning. You actually managed to post something without any preaching in it. Well done and congratulations.

You even got a little joke in there, I'm impressed.

Prophet, are you?

I like to have normal conversations with people too. It's just that many seem to pull me into discussing scripture here. I'm really not trying to preach to anyone.
I like you am flesh and blood and have my human side too. I just seem to be a bit more spiritually minded than other folk here. I guess that does make me different hun? Oh well I am on this journey called life just like you!

...says the person who preaches scripture.

What a pantload.

Do you want me to compile the posts of yours in which you preached scripture first? I am very willing. Be prepared for a long post on that, though.

You are a liar.

I guess you must have missed all those posts from people asking you NOT to preach at us!

This is what I call self delusion, but that's OK, whatever gets you through the day. If, however, you are going to insist on talking about your delusions here you are going to have to be prepared to defend them logically.

You may be on the same journey as me but we are travelling in VERY different ways.

"Adherent to religious dogma" and "spiritually minded" are two very different things.

I'm sure that the resident Christians on board, and the Buddhists, Muslims, Hindus, etc., will join me in asking you how you get your swollen, self-aggrandizing head through the door. You are not spiritually minded. You are a poster child for everything bad about unthinking, dogmatic interpretation of religion.

In various threads, you and ChristianDude have asserted that you have a number of physical ailments. You have also asserted that you are the victim of child abuse. So, if you are saved, and walk with Christ, why is he torturing you?

Bluess,
KKk CLEARLY has stated that all the ills in her life occured prior to coming to accept the blessed event which is accepting Jesus as you PL&S. So, the real question is, why hasn't the Blood of the Lambtm not washed away all the injuries and pain from these nasty, nasty events. Maybe she's not praying enough, we all can tell that she's been preyed upon enough...

A life based on faith means we live to try to please God rather than ourselves. This is not always an easy thing to do each day as most people are carnally minded and it is our natural sinful nature to want to please ourselves or other people around us. This is not what our first priority as a Christian should be.
Sometimes in my own life I still find it difficult to not be a self or people pleaser. My biggest job as a mother and wife is that I do everything I can to take care of them and my home. I have also been a waitress for years, involved in customer service, and worked as an office administrator for some top executives. These positions would automatically reveal to others something about my nature to want to not only work hard, but I am trained to do what people expect me to do.
This past 16 months has been not only a new beginning for me, I have just recently found it's a new way of thinking that I am developing. Learning to live a life based on principles of faith means I not only need to push aside things that are more carnal in nature, which is what the natural man does, but we must learn to walk in the spirit which is is conflict with our fleshly bodies.
Gods word tell us in Galatians 6:7-9... Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, this he will also reap. For the one who sows to his own flesh will from the flesh reap corruption, but the one who sows to the Spirit will from the Spirit reap eternal life. Let us not lose heart in doing good, for in due time we will reap if we do not grow weary.
This tells me not only to keep my eyes on Him but I need to be more heavenly minded to do any earthly good. It's not enough to just be a real humanitarian that wants to help others. We need to live a life built around morals that are based on what I would call Christian ethics. If we know God sees us and knows everything we think or do how do you think that would affect our lives? I think most of us would be alot more considerate of others and wanting to spend time knowing God through His word.
When I came to faith I wasn't quite prepared to deal with some of the things I saw because it can be quite convicting. We have to be willing to look at ourselves the way God sees us in our carnal sinful nature and cry out to Him that I don't want to be this way. Help me God to turn my life and my will over to you so I can start a life which is not only covered by the blood of Jesus, but that I can now walk in the Spirit seeking to live a life that is pleasing to God. The only way any of us can accomplish this is through Christ. It is His strength not our own.
