No case to answer, the President is in the clear.

I came into this at Volker’s request. Sondland is speculating based on VERY little contact. I never met him and had very few calls with him, mostly with Volker.
Volker testified I answered their questions and described them as my opinions, NOT demands. I.E., no quid pro quo!

I am not so convinced. After all, in 2009 one could reasonably say the Army was well aware of the threat of Islamic-extremist terrorism and had sophisticated and multi-layered policies and directives in place to help counter and defend against it; and yet, they were completely unprepared for Maj. Hasan's mass shooting at Fort Hood. He killed 13 and wounded 30 more.

After that massacre, one could reasonably say that the Army was now well aware of the threat of mass shooters that had authorized access to a military facility, and would've developed a response plan against that kind of attack. And yet, 5 years after Hasan's shooting, on the exact same base, another mass shooting killed 4 people and injured 12 more; and it wasn't responding installation police that ended Spc. Lopez's mass shooting, it was him shooting himself in the head.

It seems to me that the Army is ill-equipped to defend against terrorism and other violence when the call is coming from inside the house as it were. If their safety measures involve keeping Vindman and his family on a limited-access military installation that might keep them safe from civilian Trumpers, but it will not protect him from Trumpers who are actually in the Army.
 
Hehe, Amb. Sondland was stifling laughter, practically laughing in Gym Jordan's face during his rant. In fact, he did a couple times. You could clearly see him thinking "...This guy's really a piece of... work."
