I do believe T'ai has had other sock names, but I'm not sure that Luci was one of them. Can you guess Who-didn'-he admit to being?

I guess some people like changing the topic to personalities, when the real topic is about a scientific treatment of homeopathy.

Makes me laugh really because the so called homeopathic remedy for this deadly sea creature would be even more diluted down by just going for a swim off Devon England. Because some of the toxins from this deadly animal would inevitably escape out into the ocean and be spread around every ocean in concentrations far great than those homeopathic dilutions.

No, science has. Societal votes have nothing to do with reality. We know the earth is a sphere because of the evidence. The earth was never flat, even though at one time "societal forces" believed it was. This is the same case for homeopathy, science has determined that it doesn't work. Society plays no factor on the reality of that.

If you don’t understand the scientific method, you really shouldn’t be in here commenting on it.

Just a side note: If "societal forces" determined the shape of the Earth, it would be flat. Ask people to prove that the Earth is round, and you'll come up with blank faces...

I got an idea, why don't you continue to post glib one-liners.

I'm not familiar with statistics. I am familiar with the scientific method though, so I know why we don't have to test to see if the Earth is flat or not anymore. It's the same reason we don't have to test homeopathy anymore.

I asked why we should or should not continue to test if the Earth is flat or not. You said we don't have to because "societal forces" already concluded that the Earth is round. This is wrong and it's not how science works. Science has nothing to do with "societal forces." We don't vote on what's correct. I can point to the evidence and the experiment you can run.

I also didn't ask you what the answer was (the Earth is round); I asked you how we know and why we don't have to test anymore.

And you can't answer either.

It's too bad, because if you could, you'd know why we don't have to test homeopathy anymore.

Science is a societal force. I guess what I meant is that larger groups decide things (groups of scientists are still groups). It is not up to one person (me) to decide whether to keep on testing a claim.
