Home from Alaska!

I had a fantastic time. Some special thanks need to go out:

LOOK OTTLE! Cleon didn't thank us for all we did for him! Let's forget to invite him for poker!

I had a whole post written, but it didn't let me post it because it thought I had a URL embedded.

Let me just say for now that I had a great time. More gushiness later...

I'm not Cleon, but I'd like to thank the Ottle's for being lovely dinner companions Wednesday (IIRC) night and for just being lovely people in general.

(hope that makes up a bit)

Back atcha, Sinner. Pleasure to hang with you and the rest of the bunch.

Except for Dr. Trip-Fives Plait, who crippled me in poker one day but couldn't be found for the rematch :)

Yeesh, try to be nice, and whine, whine, whine...

I did forget a really important thank-you.

Jas, who was unable to go on the cruise, gave us a wonderful behind-the-scenes tour of the Vancouver Aquarium. It was a lot of fun, and really fascinating. So thank you, Jas.

(My only regret is that we couldn't spend more time with her. :( )

Oh, in case no one else mentioned it -- big thanks to Mark for the pre-cruise city tour. And to Mickey the Driver. And the guys at the wicked cool glass-blowing place.

:D Thanks dude. Although I was having one of those days where I had talked to much the preceding day, that I was incapable of articulating properly (this happens all the time though). I'm glad you had fun.

Sorry I didn't make it to Oke's party until later. I didn't realize that it had started so early.

Oh, and I forgot to take you into the Marine Mammal Food room. So what you missed was:

"blah blah blah fish"

Did you guys have a good time at the Aquarium before the tour?

I got into Houston about 4 this afternoon (Monday). We spent Sunday afternoon walking miles and miles around Vancouver, to the Granville Market, and to the Vancouver Museum on Sunday afternoon, and then to a Chinese restaurant recommended by AH and Mark. My son called from the Dallas airport (he went home on Sunday) and asked me how to sign up on the forum...

I can't wait to see the karaoke videos.

I can't wait to see the karaoke videos.

I was lucky enough to pick up videos from other people using my computer during the week and oh my god they are classic. I expected to come home from this trip with a lot of great scenery pics, but I had no idea we'd get so many fantastic people photos and videos. I keep looking at them and cracking up.

Home in Atlanta, finally. The flight was fine, but long and I'm wiped out. Pizza on its way. Laundry in process. House mess.

Work is already encroaching; I spent half an hour on the phone catching up on my way in from the airport. But, it's OK. Like TAM, this trip was so good for me, physically, mentally etc.

We have lots of cool pics - we saw whales, a brown bear and a fleet of huskies :) Mr. Ottle has them all on his computer though, so he'll need to post them.

Thanks to everyone. What an experience.

Does anyone still feel dizzy? It is Monday night and I am still swaying from the ship motion.

I'm working on the pictures, hopefully I have all the names right, some people I can't remember their names (sorry) even though I remember talking to them. I'm trying to caption all the pictures for all you who weren't on the trip.

Susan

I veered very suddenly sideways into walls at work a few times today. Luckily I have the "I meant to do that" cat look down...so I'm sure nobody thought it looked weird or anything.

Man, I love this photo from the Amazing Adventure 2

oh I so love that photo Richard!!!

It's like James Bond cool brothers....

Hey don't forget the pigasus for the auction!

In case anyone didn't notice, Richard was THE one man we all fell madly in love with (as a FRIEND). I still have my safety yellow kangaroo!

Tuesday morning and I'm still swaying. How long will it take for this to go away?

Anyway here is the link to all my pictures....there are 404 pictures....don't panic I started with over 700. They are mostly captioned so don't forget to use that feature.

Please let me know if I miss someones name or used the wrong name.

Susan

I hope he starts posting to the forum regularly. You've raised a very cool and smart son GG. {insert kudos smilie}

Richard that's a great photo but Phil looks like he's constipated.

Agreed. I got to hang out with him a little on the last night and he was really funny too. :)

That is an awesome picture, Richard!

Susan, great collection of photos! And congrats once again on winning pigasus, you did a very thorough job on that matching game.

Well, had a little trouble with the cabin key card at first...
