Hillary Clinton is Done

It will be fun to watch the Bernie True Believers melt down now that it's pretty clear that the Sanders bubble has burst.

I think there are few true believers. Many people on this forum support Bernie, but maybe 3 believe he will beat out Hillary in the primary. I for one don't think he will win the nomination, though I think he would win the general if he did get the nomination.

What do you mean by "the Sanders bubble has burst" and what has recently changed such that it is clearer now than previously?

Eight years ago I was concerned Clinton would be on the hawk side on foreign policy only because the GOP was rattling their fear mongering swords. But this time around, after a few years as the Sec of State, and given the long Progressive track record of Clinton's, she's the best choice for a world in turmoil like we have today.

What a ridiculous statement. Hillary is a war criminal instrumental in the destruction of Libya. She actually cheered the savage murder of Colonel Gaddafi. She's a psychopath and the prospect of her becoming POTUS is even scarier to me than Trump.

If the choice was between those two, and I didn't have another option, it would be a hard choice. I just glad those aren't the only two options an individual has.

He is apparently now more certain that Hillary should win, how much more clarity does he need?

This is the statement one would expect from someone not thinking things through. Clinton is not a psychopath, that's an unsupportable statement. Trump on the other hand is completely unpredictable and his xenophobia is terribly ominous.

I think the Dems and Hillary campaign aren't making the mistake the Republican candidates did by not taking taking Trump seriously early on. That means they'll have a soft on Hillary primary season so she goes in strong to the general election. Sanders will keep saying he's sick of the email stories and O'Malley will hang on just to keep it interesting and be a stand-by in case Hillary falls under a bus or something.

It would be nice if the Republicans would come together and for the good of the country, enough would drop out and avoid a possible Trump nomination.

Nope. We're doing exactly as predicted. And we will win.

Dude, I gave $100 to his campaign (not saying that is a lot but is is more than most). I have no problem with people wishing for the best but sometimes it is just wishful thinking.

The fact of the matter is that Hillary has an extemely high chance of being the Democratic nominee. I am not saying that Bernie supporters should give up. But they should not be surprised in the likely event that he loses.

Furthermore, it would be extremely stupid for them to not vote in the general election or vote third party if Hillary gets the nom. Yeh Hillary is to the right of Bernie. But whatever scumbag that wins the GOP nomination will be much further to the right.

The ONLY logical choice for people on the left who care more about the best outcomes possible than they do ideology is to vote D no matter who gets the nom.

The surge in the Iowa polling says otherwise. We are going to close that gap and humiliate Clinton.

The surge in Iowa polling isn't that impressive, I'm afraid. Even if Sanders wins Iowa - well, so did Santorum.

And so did Obama. Who was polling worse at this point in time!

Iowa; http://www.realclearpolitics.com/ep...iowa_democratic_presidential_caucus-3195.html

New Hampshire; http://www.realclearpolitics.com/ep...ire_democratic_presidential_primary-3351.html

I like this story. These are both winnable with a good ground game. Hillary appears to have almost no ground game except for paid staff.

At this point, there is nothing as important as making sure Trump isn't the next president. No one who cares about he future if this country or our civilization should be doing anything other than supporting Hillary and making sure she comes out of the primary strong and with a clear mandate from her party. The Republicans aren't going to fix this so everyone else needs to make sure it doesn't happen.
