Hillary Clinton is Done

Speaking of the claim, Clinton's falling polls spell her doom, let's watch another candidate rise and fall (except Fiorina really is done), and note the pattern.

Fiorina moves up in the polls, her negatives become more interesting to the news media. When the old videos of her and her record of layoffs at HP move into the public eye, her poll numbers will drop.

It's the natural pattern in the election cycle. The difference is, candidates who actually are qualified won't drop off the map just because their high poll numbers move lower.

I think the Fiorina flash is another case of media manipulation. CNN had to change the rules to get her on stage in the debate. Now she's the candidate most likely to make good television vs. Trump. She's polling right alongside Cruz and Bush and Rubio, isn't she? But not a word on those campaigns. The media wants to see a battle and Carly's the star of the moment.

As to watching a candidate rise and fall, I think that'd be Trump. Baron von Combover may have already peaked.

Fiorina is this election cycle's Herman Kaine. (Did I spell Kaine right?)

By the time anyone is actually casting votes, they won't be casting them for her.

Trump, I'm not so sure about, but I do think he has already peaked.

Clinton? She's on the ropes, but she certainly isn't done.

I don't live in the U.S. and so cannot tell but....

Five months of this thread, is Hillary still the leading Democratic Party candidate ?

If so, in what sense is the "Done" unless "Done" means very likely to get the nomination.

Conservatives know that she is most-likely to win. What they are doing is trying to pre-frame her as the candidate that the Democrats reluctantly nominated....

It's an example of the risk taken by people making spontaneous predictions. She could "done" later on, but she hasn't been done yet. For one, by this point I would play it by ear and only finally call it "done" when there is a clear trend showing it.

It's interesting that when this thread was started she was "done" due to an entirely different issue than the one which is now dominating her coverage.

She actually incrased her lead in the last polls.

IMHO a lot of the Hilary Is Done is wishful thinking by the Bernie Saudners supporters.
Hilary will win for one reason:She has a much better chance of winning in November then Saunders does...something the Saudners supporters just do not want to admit.

I bought a bit of her on one of the Sunday shows (by accident) and was actually surprised that I didn't hate her. She actually seemed human. The new writers are doing a good job.

But really, is anyone done at this point? I can't imagine there is aa single Presidential candidate that would be so half assed as to quit at this point. If anything, we are only going to see additions.

So apparently the National Enquirer is reporting that Hillary had several strokes and is suffering from MS.

Yeah, I know, they're a tabloid, but the got John Edwards' bastard right, so they're able to do real investigative journalism at least some of the time.

Sanders will take the nomination unless VP Biden enters the race. So Hillary is done.

So is that woman going around giving speeches and appearing on talk shows a double?

And the polls will show that soon, really they will, your're probably sure of it.

I don't have MaGZ's confidence in Hillary's imminent demise, but I's also say the polls shouldn't give her much confidence either. In September of 2007, she was still leading in the polls as well, and had been since the start. We know how that turned out, don't we?

Hillary has great name recognition, and people still like Bill a lot. But the more they see of Hillary, the less they like her, because she's a humorless cackling robot. She will go down in the polls over time. The question is really just how much.

You're basing this on?

I base this on Sanders appeal and the crowds he attracts. Hillary could never match that. Sanders could win the nomination but not the general.

However Biden has the nomination and the presidency for the asking. The Democrat establishment doesn’t want a socialist at the head of their ticket or someone under criminal investigation like Hillary.

Hillary is pretty much at the center of the Democratic establishment, and she's raised by far the most money from Democratic donors. The Democrats who aren't behind her have real doubts about whether she could win the general election.

Subject for discussion: Can Hillary be considered without remembering who she's been married to for forty years?
